It looks decent for a shoulder patch or maybe even an alternate, but, like pretty much everyone else, I can't say I like it as a primary. jayzcat Posted July 11, 2006 Share Posted July 11, 2006 After seeing this logo, I see some character traits similar to the NE Pats new logo (at least it was new a few years back) . . . not a lot of definition to the face, a long thinning tail towards the back end of the logo. Clearly, NE's logo isn't bad . . .this one's not to great although I don't totally hate it. I'm not a designer, but clearly I've seen many excellent concepts posted on this board, not only for this logo/jersey but for others too. The jersey hasn't even come out yet....nobody knows what the they're going to do Unless the striping pattern of the jersey includes a circle with sabres in the middle, then they aren't presently planning on doing that.If what we've seen is accurate, that's the primary logo, period. There was no logo like that. They aren't doing that unless they change their plans. I can say that 90% confidence. It's just how things worth. And it has nothing to do with when the jerseys come out because that's a logo element not a jersey element. They collected designs and concepts from external designers as well as designing their own concepts. Not sure if the "slug" came froman external designer or inhouse. In short, Reebok gave the ulitimate direction and the Sabres the approval.Not sure why they never contacted JSº, it's not like he would be hard to find. From what I know. they were not too informed or concerened about what the fans wanted, they took their feedback straight from the Sabres organization.
