The Sixers are most likely going to be looking for expiring contracts to give themselves some cap room to totally scrap everything and rebuild. And on a side note Billy King could very well find himself unemployed for the holidays. There is a ground swell around town for his head, if he doesnt make the right Iverson deal it is over for him here in Philly.

I say Sacramento. Hell, they took on the problems of Artest and Bonzi Wells with flying colors last season, whats one more? Sac can handle it. :P

it looks like the timberwolves are the frontrunners for iverson, i dont know who they would trade for him, proboly picks and maybe some guys like marco jarik or rick davis. boston could also be a possibility seeing as though he was almost traded there last year.

I don't see Karl bringing in him and his problems. The Nuggets are a strong team this year, and that's without Martin and Nene (even though Nene came back tonight). The price would be too much for Denver to give up, and they have a very young talent base, so you won't see Iverson in Powder Blue and Yellow.

Also keep in mind that Karl and Kenyon almost had it out this offseason, so AI would present a whole new list of problems that Karl and the Nuggets aren't interested in.

If they make either of those deals mentioned in this first post, the imminent firing of King would occur faster than Ron Artest over a scorers table.

Indeed, of course knowing King, that means one of those two will happen.

But I've got a couple other ideas:

Iverson to Boston for Paul Pierce, Sebastian Telfair, and Leon Powe

Iverson to Orlando for Grant Hill and Jameer Nelson

boston is not going to trade paul pierce, why would boston trade on of the best players in the leauge who is under 30 for a guy who is declining and has attitude problems. when iverson gets traded it will proboly be picks and a couple bench players

Nene, Reggie Evans, and Andre Miller for Iverson. But it can't be done until the 15th of this month due to Nene and Evans having just signed new deals this offseason. I love Miller but he's not the kind of guy that should be running the point for a run-first team. I think at this point in his career, AI would be willing to sacrifice points for assists and team success. AI's a great passer -- he just doesn't have anybody to pass to.

I agree that moving Pierce would be a bad move, but I've also heard on occasion that Pierce isn't happy in Boston so they might look to move him. But if Pierce is happy then Boston would probably go to something like Unwind's idea.

From the threads so far, you can tell who has a grasp on the NBA rule that a team has to receive salary back from the trade within 15% of what the team is trading.

If only it were feasible for Philadelphia to keep Iverson, and gut everyone else, including GM and team president...
