My guesses would be:

- Kings (need a new arena badly, could go to Vegas since the Maloof's are big time Vegas hotel owners)

- Sonics (same as Kings, need a new arena. Their current one has been renovated, but it doesnt have the popular bells and whistles new ones do.)

- Hornets (due to the Katrina factor, unfortunately)

The Clippers were rumored to move to Anaheim into the Duck Pond. The T-wolves are locked into a long-term lease that is pretty air-tight. I would guess that the Sonics and Hornets will "fight" for Oklahoma City. Shortly thereafter, the NBA will announce expansion into KC, St. Louis, Las Vegas, Buffalo, Columbus and Tampa Bay

Would David Stern be committed to an asylum immediately after that announcement? There isn't enough TALENT for 36 teams.

The Hawks have what I call "The Anti-Indianapolis Colts" problem. Unlike the Colts, who are good enough that the city of Indianapolis would bend over backwards to keep them, no city in the world wants the Hawks.

Nets, anyone? Unless someone moves before them. I believe the Nets have three more years here in New Jersey. I don't want 'em to move, but it's basically a done deal.

I thought that it was confirmed they were going to Brooklyn?

The NBA doesn't have enough talent for the teams they have now...if anything they should contract not expand.

Bingo. Get rid of Charlotte, Memphis, and New Orleans.

And no one would even notice. Throw either the Magic or the Hawks in the pool to give a nice round number of teams to lop off, and the dispersal draft would be a great event.

Jesus, expansion has been the death knell for both the NFL and the NHL.

Kings have a good shot, and nobody would really miss em. And itd give Sac the motivation it needs to take a shot at trying to grab an MLB team.

I seriously said to myself as I was reading that: "But Charlotte doesn't even have a...oh yeah..."
