It's not a good day to be an Oriole fan.

Ughhh. I'm not gonna lie though that was pretty amazing. Embarrassing, but amazing.

The Rangers only scored in 4 innings and 25 of the 30 came in the last 4 innings of the game. The 7, 8, and 9 hitters for Texas went 13-19 with 16 RBI. 7 RBI each for the 8 and 9 batters.

And then to lose the second game and get swept only makes it that much worse...

At least they one game 1 of the series on Tuesday.

Also a 30-3 loss counts the same as a 1-0 loss, they don't get 5 losses out of it, who cares.

Coincidentally the previous Rangers record for runs in a game was 26, set against the O's in 1996.

Stole my thunder...I was there that night at The Ballpark in Arlington. The Rangers won 26-7. I remember saying, "Poor O's, just a couple more touchdowns and two field goals would have won it for them." B)

Saltalamacchia's 7 RBI will probably start a new debate here in Atlanta about the wisdom of trading him away. I don't know why people worry, getting rid of that Favre guy worked out well for the Falcons...

True, but is anyone driving down to Norfolk today? I doubt they would after a 1-0 loss.

I was at that game. It was so bad that Baltimore used up their bullpen and used an infielder to close. Still have the stub from that game.

Yet, I can throw it away I guess, because the papers have gone ape wild over this. At work this morning, it was the only thing people were talking about. It's like the Rangers won the World Series or something. The Star-Telegram even put on the second game's box score "Rangers only score 9, enough to win."

Simply amazing

4 days agp. these Rangers got 2 hits and 0 runs against Johan Santana and Joe Nathan...tonight they get TWENTY-NINE hits and THIRTY runs tonight. Baseball is a crazy game.

The Rangers were also the team that got no hit by Mark Buehrle earlier this year. It is a crazy, crazy game.

They were also shut down by Erik Bedard and two relievers the night before. They scored two runs, but the runs came on what I believe were the only two hits off Bedard that left the infield. It really is a crazy, crazy game.

McCann's still hit more HR's this week.....

Simply put, the Braves don't need two All-Star caliber catchers on the same roster, and in return for Saltalamacchia, the Braves got a first-baseman they'll have a better shot at re-signing than they will with Andruw Jones. That same first-baseman has only been the best hitter in baseball this month.

I'm so pissed. I actually watched the first five innings of the game then left for a friends house. When I got home later I thought I was misreading the sports ticker. I wish I watched the rest of it. Not because it was the Rangers, but because it was historic. Damn.

Wish I would've seen it... but I guess I can check out the condensed version on mlb.tv. I was at the Red Sox/Devil Rays game and I looked over and thought it was a mistake when it said 27-3, and then eventually 30-3.
