...time for cheat sheets, trash talk, beer, and all the goodness associated with fantasy football drafts. If you participated in a draft (or drafts) outside of the Creamer boards, feel free to post the results of your draft in this thread. I drafted ninth in a 10-team money league that I've either won or finished runner-up in the past three seasons. I think I did pretty well given the hand I was dealt.

QB: Donovan McNabb, Matt Hasselbeck

RB: Reggie Bush, Rudi Johnson, Ahman Green, Julius Jones, Ladell Betts

WR: Terrell Owens, Roy Williams, Reggie Brown, Vincent Jackson, Jerricho Cotchery

TE: None (we don't have to start TE's in our league, they're just lumped in with the WR's)

K: Shayne Graham

D/ST: Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings

I'm the commish of a 12 team league that was run last year as well between me and my friends. We were able to keep 4 players from our roster last year, and had a draft to disperse the remaining players. Here's my team (bold was my keeper from last year):

QB:Tony Romo, Matt Lienart, J.P. Losman

RB:Steven Jackson, Carnell Williams, LenDale White, Dominic Rhodes

WR:Terrell Owens, Anquan Bolden, Chris Chambers, Joe Horn

TE: L.J. Smith, Randy McMicheal, Daniel Graham

K: Shayne Graham

DEF: Bears, Seahawks

Romo, Jackson, Williams, Owens, Bolden, McMicheal, Graham, and the Bears D are my current starters. I'm also looking to get a better RB by shopping some of my players around.

Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool

Check out my music!

Their team name is "seahawksfan", so naturally, they took Shaun Alexander first. (It was an Autopick Draft)

From a league at work, I drafted 2nd out of 12 teams. This league is a little different though. You start 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 W/T, 1 W/R, 1 K, 1 DEF, and 5 defensive players: 2 have to be a lineman or linebacker, 2 have to be defensive backs, and one can be any defensive player. All in all there was 24 rounds.

Here's what I ended up with:

QB: Carson Palmer, Jay Cutler

RB: Stephen Jackson, Brandon Jacobs, Brandon Jackson, Michael Turner

WR: Javon Walker, Anquan Boldin, Donte' Stallworth, Antawn Randle-El

TE: Vernon Davis, Heath Miller

K: Adam Vinatieri, John Kasay

DEF: Seahawks, Cowboys

DB: Champ Bailey, Chris McAllister, Darren Sharper, Antoine Bethea

DL/LB: Julius Peppers, Lofa Tatupu, Antonio Pierce

The Chicago Warhellride of the Premier Keeper League hasn't drafted yet.

But you've already won on the strength of a coolass team name.

Hey guys,

I'm playing through espn.com, and I'm trying to figure out why one team's schedule consists of nothing but byes...or why there are even byes in the first place with an even ten teams. Anyway, I e-mailed espn.com about this little issue, but in the meantime, I was wondering if you guys experienced this as well when playing through espn.com. Thanks in advance! ;)

I'm in two leagues (and I commission them both). First, the Las Vegas Flying Aces of the 3FL (8 teams, keeper/dynasty, 26-man rosters, WR and TE separate, IDPs):

16236_franchise_logo0002.gif

(Keepers from last season in italics)

QBs: Brett Favre, Jon Kitna, Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo

RBs: Marion Barber, Rudi Johnson, Julius Jones, Adrian Peterson (MIN), Chester Taylor, DeAngelo Williams

WRs: D.J. Hackett, Devery Henderson, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne

TEs: Chris Cooley, Ben Watson

PKs: Jason Hanson, Matt Stover

DLs: Aaron Schobel, Osi Umenyiora

LBs: London Fletcher, DeMeco Ryans, D.J. Williams

DBs: Kerry Rhodes, Bob Sanders, Roy Williams

Note that I still have one more player to cut in this league to get to the roster limit.

===

Then of course there are my usernamesakes, the mighty Toronto Vipers, runners-up in the IFFL (11 teams, doubleheaders, keeper/dynasty, 27-man rosters on opening day, down to 24 on Week 3; WR and TE combined, IDPs) last year:

33827_franchise_logo0007.jpg

(Keepers from last season in italics)

QBs: Marc Bulger, Byron Leftwich*, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Schaub

RBs: Reggie Bush, Ron Dayne, DeShaun Foster, Ahman Green, Maurice Morris

WR/TEs: Deion Branch, Plaxico Burress, Joey Galloway, Brandon Jones, Matt Jones, Reggie Wayne, Ben Watson

PKs: David Akers, Josh Scobee

DLs: Charles Grant, Patrick Kerney, Jason Taylor

LBs: Mike Peterson, Zach Thomas, D.J. Williams

DBs: Sean Jones, Adrian Wilson, Gibril Wilson

* I've put in a free-agent claim for David Garrard to replace Leftwich. If I get him (the preseason claim period ends Thursday afternoon) I'll drop Leftwich then; otherwise I'll probably drop him at the Week 3 cuts.

Yahoo standard head-to-head autopick league, drafted 5th from 10.

QB: Peyton Manning / Alex Smith

RB: Clinton Portis / Thomas Jones / Deuce McAllister /

WR: Reggie Wayne / Javon Walker / Plaxico Burress / DJ Hackett / Isaac Bruce

TE: Antonio Gates

K: Robbie Gould

D: Baltimore / Denver

How does this rate ... RBs are a little weak, but QB, TE, WR and DEF seems solid I think?

I'm new to fantasy football this year. Also in a Yahoo league but made my own picks. Still looking at trades and free agents but this is my roster for now:

QB: Drew Brees / Philip Rivers

RB: Reggie Bush / Deuce McAllister / DeShaun Foster / Leon Washington

WR: Devery Henderson / Isaac Bruce / Calvin Johnson / Wes Welker

TE: Alge Crumpler / Ben Watson

K: Jason Elam / Olindo Mare

D: Philadelphia / New Orleans

Sure, I'll admit to being a Saints homer, but the Saints I picked are solid.

You can call the engraver now. ^_^

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

I know you're new and you'll learn in time but in the future, try not to have so many guys from one team. Since you're team is so New Orleans heavy, their bye week is going to kill you, as mentioned before me. Also, it's very very unlikely that they're all going to have good fantasy weeks at the same time.

Hope you enjoy fantasy football, though!

My Team: Los Angelas Avengers

League: ESPN Fantasy Football

Draft Pick Number: 7th Overall Pick

QB: Peyton Manning, Matt Hasselbeck, Eli Manning

RB: Reggie Bush, Warrick Dunn, Lamont Jordan

WR: Torry Holt, Mushin Muhammad, Javon Walker, Deon Branch, Drew Bennet, Joe Jurevicious

TE: Alge Crumpler, Heath Miller

D/ST: Carolina Panthers

K: David Akers

Starters are in Italic.

I think I did pretty good with the 7th pick out of 10 teams. Imo, I 2 solid QBs, 2 solid RBs, Good WR core, solid TE's, decent kicker and a good defense.
