Aaron Rowand?

Brett Myers?

Shane Victorino?

And what about Pat Burrell? How medicore can he be if he smacked Mets pitching around like they were his kids?

Please. The Mets are a good team. They just only played a 150 game season when everyone else played 162. They quit, the Philies didn't. End of story.

You were ready to run Burrell out on a rail 3 months ago

And you had the Mets in the playoffs about the same time.

Guess we were both wrong, weren't we?

The difference is the Phillies had a Manager the Mets had a guy talking about turning pages, and drinking Champagne, they lost focus they choked.

I thought the Phillies were going to run him out of town too....

I'd like to see the Rockies win...

...i'd also like to see them use a Blue-Red-Yellow color scheme and use some of the old hockey Rockies logos...

....but that's just me.

I would not be surprised if they tried that for a one game alternate in the near future.

As I type this, the Padres tie the game.

If you think Charlie Manuel is a good manager, you really don't know baseball. This is a guy that routinely screws up double-switches, puts in relief pitchers before pinch-hitters are officially introduced, pulls pitchers who are throwing shutouts so he can turn the game over to Alfonseca and Geoff Geary, etc. Hell - the players can't even understand a damn word he says because every time he opens his mouth all that comes out is "down home" jibberish.
