CDuffy26
I love the feel of Minor League Hockey they haveto them. There not supposed to be major league so why should they have NHL type uniforms. Interesting Baseball fact: In 1960: Baltimore, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh had 2 AAA affiliates, while Los Angeles had 3 teams...and the New York Yankees had the Kansas City Athletics.Interesting Hockey fact: In 1974, the Buffalo Sabres draft Taro Tsujimoto of the Toyko Katanas with th 183 pick in the draft. It was later revealed that Taro didn't exist, but Taro is still listed as an offical draftee of the Buffalo Sabres in their Media Guide.

Brian in Boston
Well, just when you would have thought that you'd heard the last of the MAHL, the league has announced the granting of an expansion franchise to Dyer, Indiana (near Gary). The team has been dubbed the South Shore Shooters.Further, MAHL President Andrew Haines has revealed that the league plans to operate with between 8 and 12 teams during the 2008-2009 season. Pretty ambitious for a circuit that had to cut its inaugural season short. Apparently, a Michigan-based expansion franchise is set to be unveiled shortly.I hope that Francis Santaquilani is getting paid up-front for his logo design services. There's only two companies in the UK that make stitched and twilled jerseys and mines one of them (the other's a thieving scumbag but best not to go into that here!!!)
