FiddySicks
LSU looks damn sloppy so far. About as sloppy as Florida looked at this time last year........ STL FANATIC
LSU looks sloppy as hell. They basically gave OSU a 10 point head start.I may just be being Big Ten defenisve here, but breaking a huge run and making a very nice long pass play isn't just the defense giving the other team something. It may not be GOOD defense, but don't take away credit from OSU.Now, on offense where they fumble the snap and such...that was mostly mistakes on LSU's part. infrared41
Is there any way to shorten these title games to one quarter? If Ohio State's Defense doesn't pull their heads out of their asses this is gonna get ugly.EDIT: Here we go again. All roads lead to Dollar General. NJTank
I feel sorry for OSU the Big Ten ending so early puts them at such a disadvantage with the BCS game on so late. There should be a rule the BCS Title game should be January 2nd, unless they do a tournament. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
rams80
Watch LSU now score 21 unanswered.Well, it was a little longer than I expected, but how about 24 unanswered? slapshot
They should rename the conference the Big Tent. All its teams seem to collapse and fold under pressure. Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
rams80
And at the rate we're going, that kicking contest is the only thing OSU's winning tonight. infrared41
They should rename the conference the Big Tent. All its teams seem to collapse and fold under pressure. That's not only funny, it's also true. This game is exactly like last year. Ohio State comes out of the gate strong and is completely out of it by half time. Once LSU got rolling the Ohio State defense looked like they had no -ing clue as to what was going on. Ohio State's two-play offense isn't going to get it either. Hand off to Wells. Take a shot deep. That may work against Minnesota and Purdue but I am guessing LSU is good enough to handle those plays. And LSU gets the ball to start the second half. At this point I'll be happy if we can hold them under 40. Hey at least we won the half time kicking challenge. So how many days until Spring Training? All roads lead to Dollar General. HedleyLamarr
The only thing that other teams can hope for in terms of a split NC is if 2-loss LSU wins in a blowout. If LSU beats the brakes off of OSU, then I believe that the AP is going to pull a fast one and crown either USC, UGA, WVU, maybe even Missouri or Kansas as their national champion, and we'll have a split. Only in the case that the LSU-OSU game gets unwatchable. If that happens, then the AP vote will get MIGHTY interesting.I don't see how there will be a split-championship. In the AP, Ohio State and LSU are #1 and #2 (if I remember right). No matter the outcome, the winner should be #1, as they either beat the #1 or #2 ranked team. It doesn't make any sense to me how the winner could be jumped in the polls by anyone else. I heard Herbstreit mention on PTI about this possibility of a split-championship, and it didn't make any sense.
Viper
So the lowly, non-national-championship Orange Bowl got ZZ Top for their halftime show while the BCS title game, the last and supposedly the biggest game of the college football season, only gets the two teams' marching bands? Did anyone else think that was kind of... backward?
Fred T. Jane
He's right. Army was in C-USA for a year, then they decided against being in a conference and went back to being independent. Smart move if Army gets good all of a sudden.Show you how relevant I think Conference USA is... [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. infrared41
I finally figured out what this game reminds me of. I hate to go Bill Simmons here but...This game is the first Rocky/Clubber Lang fight in Rocky III. Rocky comes out and kicks Clubber's ass for a round or so then Clubber lands a couple good punches Rocky says Oh and Clubber proceeds to beat Rocky half to death. All roads lead to Dollar General.
