NBA Rookies/Tradees/FA signings with their new jerseys

It would be complete chaos, but a hell of a marketing idea for them to do something like that. I wonder how much that would increases jersey sales. (Though Barry was the only ever to do that in the NBA) Of course he did it because he couldnt get the number 24 he wanted in Houston (Moses).

No uniform number, but here's Anthony Johnson with an Orlando Magic basketball:

He wore #24 for them during the 1999/2000 season, so I imagine that's the number he'll choose this go-round. But the Magic have no retired uniform #s (except for #6, "The Fans") so he'll have a wide selection from which to choose.

I think I am one only people on this board that likes the Clippers current set. The logo doesn't bug me much, granted it looks pretty similar to the Lakers, but I don't mind that...it kinda says "LA Basketball" to me, even if both teams are on polar opposites. But, the look fits the Clips.

I'll agree that as a basic, simple, clean-looking NBA uniform, what the Clippers wear is nice. But there's are a ton of problems. For starters, the wordmark in the logo bears no resemblance to that of the jersey. Not even close.

But the bigger problem the Clippers have is a complete and total lack of identity. There is almost nothing in those uniforms or logos that says anything about a Clipper ship or anything nautical, unless the team somehow redefined the word "clipper" and I missed it. (Maybe this is the team for the world of coupon shoppers?) Beyond that, you say the look says "LA basketball" but I -- and the majority of the public i would assume -- don't ever think of the Clippers when the words "LA basketball" come to mind. Hell, I think of UCLA and even USC before the Clippers come to mind.

That's just evidence of an identity that doesn't work. In my opinion, of course.

I like them as well. It's a clean, sharp look that doesn't try too hard to be cool and makes a good use of an overused color scheme.

Nope, I like 'em too. Clean and classic (they've been largely the same since the 80s). That counts for something.

Elton Brand in the throwback sixers jersey...Second best ever, next to my Bulls jerseys.

Sixers need to ditch the jerseys with the odd piping, and go back to classics fulltime, or at least on sundays.

As for the clippers, I haven't seen those blue and white alts in a loooong time, rare to see clippers road games in Chicago.

Did they wear them last year?

i like the current set that the Clips have. I can see how some may think it is similar to those of the Lakers. I do agree with some sort of clipper ship or a nautical theme should be placed in their logos and sets.

i was wondering the same thing about who should/would be wearing the #23 for the Clips. I think that Gordon should keep it, but Camby should get his old #21 back.
