Pending his approval, Jake Peavy has been traded to the Chicago White Sox.

Just say no, Jake! Just Say No!!

But its the President's favorite team. He could get a trip to the White House out of this. Maybe even sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom.

Ryan Sweeney is a G. Oakland sucks this season, but that dude has individually saved at least three of our games with his glove alone.

Yeah, he made like 4 diving plays that could've been extra bases with the speedy Rays.

I saw that on Sports Center and was very surprised. The ChiSox will defiantly be a contender.

it's not official yet. Peavy wants to be in the National League. May I suggest the NL East in the state of Georgia Mr. Peavy? ;)

I would suggest it too.

Is it official?

Not as of this moment. There are actually several rumors out there suggesting that Peavy will reject the deal.

That just means that the ChiSox offer to rework his contract hasn't met Peavy's satisfaction....yet.

May I suggest the New York f :censored: ing Mets, Mr. Peavy? They would love to have you!

I think he wants to play in the postseason this year.

Since my teams aren't going to be playing October baseball for a while, I think a Greinke-Peavy 1-2 could push the Royals into the top of the AL Central.

Considering the asking price...I'd pass on Peavy. Knowing what the Sox offered for Peavy (their two best minor league pitchers), I don't wanna lose Medlen or Hanson for what will end up being a rental.

Yes, I know I'm talking about one of the best pitchers in the game compared to two minor leagues. That's how good I feel about the pitchers that are gonna come up soon for the Braves.

EDIT: ROFL-:censored: ing-COPER @ the White Sox losing 20-1 to the Twins as I'm typing this. Nice job on impressing a new star early.

True. The Padres can have Schafer though. He's a top prospect. I mean top of the whole National League. In strikeouts...

In a 20-1 game, Justin Morneau had 0 hits. C'MON!

Anyone break Schoenweis' dead wife story yet?

Yeah it's in a thread

On the Peavy Deal, all I can say is GOOD, I see him maybe going to the Cubs right now, or staying in San Diego and finishing out the season

Red Sox sweep Toronto for the first time since 2004

Hold up... Seriously!?!? Wow. Damn Jays.

We gotta let the Sox develop a false sense of security before we take every game against them throughout the remainder of the season. :P
