IanPhoenix
Stands were probably empty because it was about 32 degrees, with 30+ mph winds. It was a brutal weekend to be outside in Connecticut.

They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. Brian in Boston
There was 21,673 at Rentschler Field for the AHL game.I'm back East this weekend and took the drive down to the Hartford area to join my brother-in-law for yesterday's Whale Fest games. 21,673? No way. I don't care what the announced attendance was for the AHL game. There weren't more than 8,000 fans in the stands for the nightcap. As for the Whalers-Bruins Alumni game, I'd peg attendance at about 12,500 tops.

Gothamite
Anyone care to explain why they're wearing "Mystery, Alaska" jerseys?Who cares? Any excuse to see that design again. But I thought it was about inviting the cast- did I miss Neal McDonough in the film? Or is he the very poor man's Russel Crowe? The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. BBTV
For years, the Flyers fielded an Alumni team. I liked the use of the colors on the jersey - wish they did this instead of switching to black with white sleeves.
