I just found a pretty good starting pitcher to round out my rotation. I'm going to be very upset if he gets picked. If he gets picked, I'm going with Jenny Finch as my 6th starter. Hell, she'd be the ace. :P

Looks like everyone is going with one homer pick from today, so I guess I have mine in mind.

Cano is my homer pick, but with that said. I don't like any of the other 2B still available. I've been looking at Lou Whitaker for about 4 rounds, couldn't pull the trigger on him.

So have. I want him to fall to when I need a 2B/SS backup. I'm not really worrying about it right now, so we'll see.

There's on 2B who I am stunned hasn't gone yet.

I have the guy in my top 50 overall, sixth for his position.

If I could trade Eddie Collins to get an OF I would in a heartbeat to pick this guy.

Can't imagine who it is... I had two other 2B in mind. One a Yankee one a Red Sox, but I don't think you could label either of them top 50 guys.

The Red Sox person is 8th. Not sure who the Yankee one is but he could be 22nd or 32nd. The more recent one is 32nd.

I'll just say he's a 12 time all-star and leave it at that. You can't tell me someone who's been on 10+ all-star teams should still be on the board by now.

I'm also taking him and moving Collins over to DH if he's still on the board by the time he gets to me.

Agreed, as great of an athlete Bo Jackson was he was a bit of a reach.

I'm pissed about Stanton going off the board.

Now I have to decide between Duane Ward and Paul Assenmacher with my next pick. Could always go with Eric Plunk though.

That makes me happy, was actually going to wait another round to draft him, but decided to pick him over my 5th SP

You actually thought I was serious?

The guy has an ERA close to 4 for his career.

I thought the Assenmacher/Ward/Plunk comments would be enough, but wow.

I thought we had a rule about not discussing players who are still on the board?

So far this is what my lineup will look like

DH-Eddie Collins

RF-Ed Delahanty

3B-Eddie Mathews

1B-Ernie Banks

CF-Al Simmons

C-Gabby Hartnett

SS-Robin Yount

LF-???

2B-Nellie Fox

That is a get 'em, get 'em over, get 'em in lineup. Not a ton of power, but defensively and speed wise it might be the best.

The ballpark I feel best for that is the SkyDome and the manager I feel best for that kind of team is Whitey Herzog. Teams would routinely finish last or next to last in home runs, but would also finish near the top in OPS. That's what I'm trying for with this lineup.
