I think the Indians should change to Creamsicles....oh wait! WRONG THREAD.. :)

seriously though, as much as I appreciate the current script word mark they employ on their unis I still think the best look of all time was the Major League movie unis (what was that? mid 90's?)

I think I might be the only person that likes the cursive "I" mark better than the block "C". Something about it's shape and uniqueness I guess.

No, you're not the only one. I really liked the scripted feather "I" cap and LOVED the uniform it was originally worn with.

IF ONE IS CONSIDERED RACIST, THEN BOTH MUST BE CONSIDERED RACIST.

BOTTOM LINE: NEITHER ONE IS RACIST.

Add me to the list of those who preferred the script I to the current block C. On a similar note, I wonder how a script C would look. That and/or the script I would be a great way for the Indians to keep their current look while they inevitably phase out Wahoo.

Wouldn't make me sad at all.

Yeah there's no way they should ever do that!

People outside of Cleveland always complain about how they should change the logo, change the name, change the colors. That's crap, maybe our tradition doesn't matter to them, but it sure as hell does to us! Wahoo has been in use for over 60 years.

We've seen your traditions discussed on this board ad nausaeum.

Cleveland traditions are crap.

You wouldn't hear me crying if they did away with Wahoo. It's a racist caricature of a native American. Case in point. I don't think the name is an issue, but the logo is.

The '70s set when they wore navy/red/white was the best set the Tribe have ever worn.

No, we want brown and red. It would cut down on the unnecessary abundance of red/white/blue teams in the MLB, and it would also pay homage to both the Browns (brown) and the Cavs (red) at the same time. Plus, it just looks damn nice.

Okay tell Braves fans you want to change their colors too. How would Boston feel if you told them to go red and brown? Los Angeles? Minnesota? Texas?

you can't say some teams deserve to wear red/white/blue and others don't, sorry. The Indians have just as much history as the Cavs and Browns, so they shouldn't have to "pay homage" to either one of those teams.

I think the chargers should change their colors to Green and Pink, it would cut down on the number of teams that use blue in the NFL. Also get rid of the lighting bolt....it's racist against thunderstorms

Actually, I'd like to see the Red Sox switch to red and green, and the Twins switch to purple and yellow. I'm sure the fans would complain... before going out and buying merchandise like crazy anyway.

Is this not considered "baiting"?

It's not that the Cleveland Indians don't deserve to wear red/white/blue, I just think it would be a neat way to set them apart and tie them in with the other teams in town. I could suggest changes to the Angels and Rangers, too.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

I'm sorry but brown and red just don't look that good together. That would be a terrible downgrade from their current look. There's not enough contrast. I prefer Wahoo on the caps, but don't think it would look bad to go block C on the caps with Wahoo on the sleeves. But Wahoo's gotta stay.

If you look at the most iconic caps in the MLB, Yankees, Braves, etc none have outlines.

The key difference being that the logos/letters on those hats are white on dark blue. There's no chance of there not being enough contrast on those hats. The Indians red hats really overpower the blue C. In my opinion, that's the reason a white outline would really help that look. It doesn't need to be that big or drastic, just something to help the C stand out a little more. Or, as I said before, just go to the blue hats with the cream alts and you've got one of the best looks in baseball.

Also, no offense, but I don't see the Braves' hats as being one of the "most iconic" in baseball.
