BUT they may not return to Indianapolis for the Superbowl again. Why? Attendance. Less than 70,000 people were at the game, a record low over the last 20 years. They indeed set records for the festivities surrounding the game itself, but missing out on 30,000+ worth of insanely lucrative ticket revenue is a black eye on an otherwise spotless experience. The premier singular event of the hockey season with arguably the highest ticket prices of any game of the year necessitates maximum profit opportunity, thusly a venue with a hell of a lot of seats.
