Wow, the only reason the Big House got it was so that the NHL could try to make even more money.

What's wrong with that?

I don't know, I guess I would rather have it played in a big city.

Well look at it this way: Indianapolis' success in the latest Superbowl is universal - you won't hear a negative report about the Indy experience across the board from players or pundits alike. BUT they may not return to Indianapolis for the Superbowl again. Why? Attendance.

Less than 70,000 people were at the game, a record low over the last 20 years.

They indeed set records for the festivities surrounding the game itself, but missing out on 30,000+ worth of insanely lucrative ticket revenue is a black eye on an otherwise spotless experience.

The premier singular event of the hockey season with arguably the highest ticket prices of any game of the year necessitates maximum profit opportunity, thusly a venue with a hell of a lot of seats.

With upwards of 110,000 seats available, the big house fits the bill.

So Hawks fans, do you think your GM will seriously look to add some goaltending depth soon?

TSN/Chris Kuc "reported" that the hawks are looking into acquiring a goaltender. The only logical option I could see them getting on the cheap is:

Still need vast defensive help.

I could see him winding up in Chicago, matching the Sharks in the first round, and being the sole reason why the Blackhawks win that series. Of course he'll let in 35 goals in the sweep in the following round, but that definitely would be the Nabokov thing to do.

Surely they should have known the capacity beforehand?

I'm not necessarily directing this at you, BigBubba, but I'm tired of all the Leafs fans thinking Gardiner is the second coming of Orr.

Beauchemin has been a beast for us anyways, so, I don't mind the trade too much. What I do mind though, was letting Boom Boom walk.

Murray is such a dumbass.

I'm sure Steve Mason and his sweet new Jets pads could be gotten for Patrick Kane. Im sure he'd love to be on a line with his brother Evander.

They aren't brothers. Patrick is from Buffalo and Evander is from Vancouver.

Meet Lee.

So, from the looks out it, Winnipeg pulled one out of their asses tonight.

Which really describes their entire season thus far, really. Only three points out first after tonight.

I believe what also contributed to the Jets win, was the Caps failure to regroup after giving up the Jets first PP goal. That shot from Byfuglien at center ice was ridiculous.

That's the first piece of evidence that comes to mind? :therock:

Who messed up the Kings' schedule to where they play Nashville three times in three weeks, San José three times in three weeks (the only divisional games in the last three weeks), and Detroit twice in five days? Obviously not as stupid as the Flames not playing the Pacific Division for their first 40 games then having 20 of their final 42 against the Pacific, but :S

the worst helmets design to me is the Jacksonville jaguars hamlets from 1995 to 2012 because you can't see the logo vary wall

The Islanders have an odd scheduling quirk coming up soon: March 4 vs NJ, March 8 at NJ, March 10 vs NJ. The Devils have a March 6 game at NYR so they don't play the Isles three straight times, though.

Now I'm thanking my lucky stars we get to play Dallas and Phoenix 7 times the rest of the way. Schedule plays into our hands, just have to capitalize on it.

Habs fans rejoice! Scott Gomez scored his first goal in over a year!

Man, I feel very happy for him! It's too bad though that he scored on the road, though. It would have been great to hear the amazing reception he would of got at the Bell Center.

Now I wonder when his next one will come. Hopefully, before next year.
