Tennessee Squires.

Squires sounds weird at first, but has some cool meanings, even ties to Tennessee. For me, the first thing that comes to mind is Whiskey when thinking of the Volunteer state. Country music would be next, but I'm going to stick with the whiskey. Now, you can't call a pro sports team the Whiskeys, but "Squires" has meaning in relation to Tennessee's most popular whiskey, Jack Daniels. The "Tennessee Squires" were "members of the Tennessee Squire Association, which was formed in 1956 to honor special friends of the Jack Daniel's distillery. Many prominent business and entertainment professionals are included among the membership, which is obtained only through recommendation of a current member." (From Wikipedia.org)

Also, the definition(s) of squire can open up a few logo ideas:

1. (inEngland)acountrygentleman,especiallythechieflandedproprietorinadistrict.

2.

(in the Middle Ages) a young man of noble birth who as anaspirant to knighthood served a knight.

3.

a personal attendant, as of a person of rank.

4.

a man who accompanies or escorts a woman.

5.

a title applied to a justice of the peace, local judge, or otherlocal dignitary of a rural district or small town.

as a nearly (moved here when 6 months old) native Tennessean, I'm for this idea.
