Ducks weren't totally sharp. But yes, Ducks get a point in Game 1. This three-game series thing is actually kind of interesting now having started it. Things will carry over and this game was a bit chippy. Monday will be fun. Wednesday in Anaheim will be really good, I think.Also, I wish I had the aptitude to make gifs from TV broadcasts, because Mike Smith had another Oscar worthy performance in the OT as Bobby Ryan apparently amputated Smith's leg with a rusty machete.And Glendale, actually a decent crowd tonight. Not if it's coincidental, but it sure sucks when a team is on a power play for 13 seconds or whatever. Anything to forestall the goddamn overexposed shootout.That's not a bad idea. That actually happened in the BUF-NJ game, too. There was a tripping call with 25 seconds left. I noticed Brunner tried that same move he used in Columbus (just on the opposite side of the goalie) against Crawford. Great game all around and congrats to one of my all time favorite players, Marian Hossa, on his 1000th career game. BigMac's posts make me want to punch babies.Hockey is weird and I love it. Tallas is Florida's goaltending coach and last saw live NHL action as a Blackhawk in 2000-01.
