They also want the county to pay for it.http://miamiherald.t...unrise-cou.htmlThe one arena that has a more outdated, non-HD Jumbotron than Philips Arena.....The Pond was built around the same time as the arena in Sunrise, and could use its own scoreboard update. It has a nice little LED ring added onto the bottom of the board, but it could use the full LED treatment. Just one of those four-sided ones like San Jose or Washington. It's not big enough for a Staples Center one, and even Columbus's newest one looks too big for the Pond. (And Tampa's new one... yikes... has anyone been to Tampa and seen the new one? Does it actually look like it fits in there?) | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |
Kramerica Industries
I think Gord Miller beat CCSLC to the punch in the snark department on that one. It is pretty seriously disproportionate looking. But, hey, you know, Jeffrey Vinik. Gotta love his energy. If only the on-ice product wasn't so awful... Cujo
Last week, the Avalanche named Joe Sakic as the team's Vice President of hockey operations. To top that, sources are now reporting Patrick Roy will become the Avs' new head coach. The team is currently at an all-time low, so sure! Broward County did end up paying over $4 million for it, by the way. Why didn't they refuse to pay for it? Did they learn nothing from their less white counterparts down in Miami-Dade? ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

The_Admiral
Not good enough. If you really want to change things on the Predators' coaching staff, you have to cut off the head. The unique challenge, then, is finding where the head begins. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Lee.
Hearing reports, but nothing online yet, that the Canucks have let the entire coaching staff go.Also, Alex Burmistrov wants out of Winnipeg, apparently he thinks he can be a first liner somewhere else in the league.
