Neat crescent shape. If Charlotte used this it would be the only logo featuring a basketball that looks good. Very clean look. Congratulations. The hornet looks awesome.The only thing i can complain about is maybe the basketball. Everything looks so crisp, but the lines on the ball are really thick and kinda stick out to me. I think the one thing I learned looking over the 99designs entrants is that it is really hard to render a hornet well in a way that passes for a sports logo. Your logo accomplishes that well as do a few others, but it makes me nervous for the official unveil.I especially like the front facing bee you posted. Well done.
