I might like a little more striping on the sleeves. I'm also not a big fan of side stripes as they can be at odds with the stripes on the pants but I think these are okay. Good work. The white helmet looks sharp. The only reason the Bills changed to red helmets was because qb Joe Ferguson was color blind and the rest of the AFC East all had white helmets like the Bills (Fins, Pats, Jets, Oilers). The fonts, could be better. Reminds me of the Ravens' fonts. I never knew Joe Ferguson was colorblind. Interesting tidbit. I thought The Bills wanted stand out than the rest of the AFC East. leggman01 Posted May 13, 2005 Share Posted May 13, 2005 The only reason the Bills changed to red helmets was because qb Joe Ferguson was color blind and the rest of the AFC East all had white helmets like the Bills (Fins, Pats, Jets, Oilers)an overwhelming majority of people who are color blind are red/green color blind, which means they can't distinguish between red and green - it is HIGHLY unusual for a person to see only in black and white (less than 1% of all who are color blind) - changing to a red helmet would do little to help joe ferguson distinguish his receivers (especially when playing the jets of that era, who wore green helmets) - i think this is an urban legend on to the concept... i like it a lot - the number font is impressive, especially in paint - drop shadows which are that crisp are not easy to pull off in paint - great first concept! That still made up an all-white helmet division.Reminds me how Tampa Bay folks were explaining Vinny Testaverde's troubles with some excuse about color-blindness and the Bucs' orange jerseys.Funny.
