This is like when Jerry wanted to reach for Manziel. It wasn't a need and he just wanted to make a splash. Nobody stopped him from doing it tonight.

Taking a RB at #4 when you're already kinda-set at the position is just bad football. Enjoy all those the upcoming 8-8 seasons, Dallas!

It's a reach.  I get Cowboys fans being excited, but it's still a reach.

I get that it's a reach in terms of that Zeke could have been had picked between the 8th-10th, maybe a little lower, but if no team in that range was calling to take the pick from the Cowboys, they had to go ahead and pick the player who they thought would be the best for the team.

Except that opinion is backed by nearly every football analyst. Zeke will be a Pro Bowler behind this offensive line.

Elliott also had a QB at tOSU with the ability to run and were in shotgun a lot.

Matt, who do you honestly will make more All Pro teams in their career? Elliott or Ramsey

Dallas is probably going to trade back into the late 1st to nab a defensive lineman. Elliott may have been a reach, but had Dallas not nabbed Elliott at 4, how far would he have fallen?

So they're going to give up #34 overall and most likely #67 just to move up four picks ?  That's disastrous.

Elliott would have gone between 8-13 according to most.

Ramsey will. He's the better long term player, no doubt. Zeke will have the more immediate impact though.

I don't know, they COULD. Not saying they will. But, there should still be some good defensive linemen on the board for Dallas at Pick #34, so they may not need to trade.

If they trade up, it probably won't be for a DL.

It will be for Paxton Lynch.

They may end up possibly duking it out with Cleveland if they do decide to go that path. That is a possibility for Cleveland to do (trade back into the 1st to get Lynch).

Everybody sing along:

"I was gonna be Top 5, but then I got high...
My people were all gettin' live, but then I got high...
Now I might not get drafted tonight, and I know why,
Because I got high,

Because I got high,

BECAUSE I GOT HIIIIIIIGH!"

Even though Cleveland are doing the sensible thing by loading up on picks, they are still the Browns - therefore I fully expect them to :censored: this up.

The Tunsil verse about one crazy ass step-daddy is more important.

Prediction:

Tunsil drops out of the first round...and falls all the way to #60, where my Patriots snag him.

(Hell, if you're gonna be a villain.....)
