2022 NFL regular season through Super Bowl LVII

But if you to feel the need to tweet something about this (because he doesn’t have to) why not send get-well wishes and prayers to Hamlin before worrying about the schedule?

Skip Bayless is a terrible person, and I’m ashamed that he claims the Cowboys.

There's still that extra week between the championships and the Super Bowl, right? I would wash out the next week and move everything back a week. Even if he survives, I think everyone needs some time to regroup.

He's still not breathing on his own. The machines are keeping him alive.

There's a chance he kicks out at 2. But I'm not sure how long he can survive on life support.

Where are you getting your information and what is your expertise in medicine?

A bunch of reporters said they were told he's on life support like this one that was posted on the last page.

This one is directly from the NFL. They say he's in critical condition.

It’s shocking, but not surprising that the NFL themselves instructed the teams to warm up for play resumption until the coaches stepped in and said “:censored: this”.

The worst part is it seemed like such a normal play. You have to wonder what the hell truly happened.

I think you kind of addressed your own concern here. It seemed normal until it wasn't. If they knew he was likely to die, I don't think they would have said "well, five minutes, back at it." Even the NFL isn't that callous.

It looks like he took a shoulder right in the chest and it stopped his heart. You have to be surprised it doesn't happen more often.

There are all kinds of theories I've read on reddit, including the theory he took a blunt hit to his heart and it stopped it.

The other theories on reddit are some truly craven nonsense about vaccines.

Incidents like these prove Twitter's positive and negative value, with all kinds of info streaming out into the world. The most recent of which is there will be a hospital press conference later tonight.

Critical condition does not necessarily mean "on death's door step." For example,Jeremy Renner is in the hospital in Nevada and he's in critical but stable condition. We'd all do well to stop speculating. Far as I know, none of us are medical professionals.  We should wait for reliable information to come out.

That's what my GF said might have caused it. According to her, it's a million to one shot, but it can happen.

I am the board’s CTE expert.   But your point applies to everyone else.

Having very recently gone through an out of nowhere heart-related death, I can empathize with those around him and hope they don’t go through what we did. Hoping to wake up tomorrow and read that he’s gonna make it even if football is off the table.

Sounds like the youth baseball player who was hit in the chest by a pitch and died from his heart stopping. Freak accident we were told, but many kids started wearing chest plates under their jerseys after that.
