I don’t really know what it is that I dislike about it so much, but something about their current look just feels so off to me. It’s strange because I was in the same boat as everyone else in DESPERATELY wanting the powder blue set back as the primary. But there’s just something about the current color combination that just looks bad to me. Almost amateurish, in a sense. Like I mentioned before, maybe it’s them playing under the roof that washes them out (I doubt it though because I have basically this same complaint about their road set). Maybe it’s the weird materials that Nike uses. I’m not sure. Probably a combination of a lot of different things. But from the very first time I saw them, I was really underwhelmed and disappointed by the Chargers current look. I want so bad to like the powder and yellow sans navy look for them, but I just don’t. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) There are very few "rules" of uniforms I would consider an absolute, but this might be one of them. Ghastly. I (mostly) agree with this rule, but I say the jersey or pants must be white, a white helmet almost never works (unless you're the Chargers). I always hated how the Titans looked going White/Columbia/Navy or White/Navy/Columbia, for example.

I always hated how the Titans looked going White/Columbia/Navy or White/Navy/Columbia, for example. Yeah, there's something off-balance about that Titans example: It's bottom-heavy. But I don't think that idea of imbalance applies, necessarily, to Baltimore. Even though the helmet, jersey, and pants are different colors and none of them are white, it still reads like a proper home/color uniform, because the pants are the lightest color of those three elements. So the uniform still looks "balanced" to me. That same perception of balance is why I don't like it, aesthetically, when a team wears a lighter color jersey over darker pants. (For example, WVU once played Kansas State while wearing navy helmets, gold jerseys, and navy pants. It looked very awkward to me.) Even though the jersey is a color other than white, it reads like an away uniform.

Personally, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the white helmet over colored jersey and pants look, provided the pants are gold or silver, and significantly lighter than the jersey. (The Titans' white/columbia/navy combo was horrible.) This may be a candidate for unpopular opinions, but these are some of my favorite uniforms... 9 1 1 2 http://dstewartpaint.blogspot.com/

Chargers and Breakers look gorgeous, but I can't help but feel that Wyoming and Air Force would look better with helmets that match the pants, even though the Breakers and Air Force have such similar color schemes. I think the yellow and silver numbers for Wyoming and Air Force look out of place when the helmet doesn't match, or vice versa. If the numbers were white on each set, they'd work better imo. This feels less like a hard rule and more an issue of color balance across each element of the uniform. 6 Perrin Grubb | Aspiring Designer | NAFA Project ~ NFL Redesigns

I sure hope not as that collar looks awful! Nope, the Packers are still using an old school template. Still the only the NFL team with it. Singular (matching) gold stripe on the helmet and a burgundy pants stripe and its money. Simplicity works.

Something about that set at night in that stadium just does it for me. I go out of my way to watch them. I've also always been a big fan of Air Force. The unis, the unique offense... I love it.

Like I said I like the Chargers, I prefer white pants but the yellow still works. I think Wyoming kinda works too (must be the yellow pants) but I'd probably go with white numbers. The Breakers I can barely tell those pants are even gray. Air Force I think would look better with either white pants or a silver helmet, even just white numbers might go a long way. I think silver/gray and yellow/gold pants are the only way it's passable.

tBBP
The numbers are still ugly as butt, but black/white/black really works for the Falcons. The_Admiral
I wonder if the Titans could have made Crapitals/Wizards slate blue work, maybe with Volunteer orange and Tennessee flag red as secondary colors. 1 ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

It's giving me these vibes: Slate blue is too close to a bright orange lighting-wise, and red + orange is hard to pull off in any circumstance. You'd probably be looking at a faded version of the above jersey in terms of the aesthetic. 1 MLB: Project 32 (Complete), MLB: The Defunct Saga (Complete)
