Dynasty
I was hoping the Phoenix area could get another title, but that will just have to wait. Good for the Rangers. It's always cool to see that first title come around.
Cujo
As a previously long-suffering Cubs fan, I understand exactly how Texas Rangers fans are feeling right now. Congrats to the Rangers fans we have on the boards -- if there even are any.

Mavericks fans finally got over the 2006 NBA Finals loss when the Mavericks had their championship parade a few days after winning the 2011 NBA Finals (an NBA Finals that forever changed Dirk Nowitski's legacy). Rangers fans may never get over the loss in 2011 if the Rangers don't finish it tonight, because if they don't I can see the D'Backs winning three in a row and winning in 7 Games. The Stars fans might have been disappointed to not win the Stanley Cup in the COVID year of 2020, but we got over it after a day because of the 1999 Stanley Cup. An interesting thing going on tonight: The Dallas Mavericks are at home tonight, during Game 5. I would not be at all surprised if the Mavericks finish their game before Game 5 ends that the Mavericks allow the fans to stay and watch the final innings of Game 5. Should the Rangers be able to finish it tonight, several Texas Rangers who were a part of the 2011 team who now work in non-playing roles for the Rangers: Michael Young, Colby Lewis and David Murphy will finally get a World Series ring. Another member of that 2011 Rangers team who is now a special assistant, Ian Kinsler won his World Series ring with the Red Sox in 2018. I should have been clearer and said October 2011 lol Quote trueyankee26.wordpress.com

Partycrasher
winning 11 of 11 road games is completely insane. Texas absolutely deserves this title. just too bad deGrom couldn't have been part of it.
Gary
Congratulations Rangers, you guys wanted it more this year. But I'm still proud of my DBacks this year for making it. I don't think this will be the last both these teams make it back to the World Series. Also congratulations to the guys who have been wanting this for years.

Germanshepherd
Doing it with no deGrom and no Garcia is crazy. Reminds me of when the Braves did it without Acuña. Quote i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience

FiddySicks
Bruce chy. I was pulling for the D Backs, mainly due to the absurdity of them even being there, but I’m stoked for the Rangers. Good for them! I hope this helps put to rest some of the pain 2011 caused. Nice little run there, D Backs. Nothing to be ashamed of. Probably had no business even being there, but they earned it by beating the teams in front of them. Snaketober was fun! 3 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
