“But but but only YOU disagree with me” 🤣

Call them ugly, but claiming they aren’t iconic is a terrible take and flat out wrong, especially when you're neither a Warriors nor Cavs fan (so I guess I can’t blame you for not understanding why they were iconic 🤦‍♂️)

Almost nobody here said they'd prefer nike over adidas:

Oh look Twitter agrees with me too:

Even these comments are split 50-50, not 1-99 as you seem to imply:

So because other sports wear sleeved jerseys is your reasoning for NBA teams to wear them? 🤦‍♂️ And you have no idea how the coloring (which is NOT banana yellow) would differ.

no, that wasn't my only reasoning if you read the rest of my post. 🤦‍♂️ And no, we do have an idea, because the coloring was not banana before Nike took over, and nobody used banana before Nike.

Would you like me to call it lemon yellow instead? Alrighty. either way it is NOT the correct shade 🤷‍♂️

I am shocked, SHOCKED, at the lack of bananas for scale!  /s

Was chatting with some friends this morning.

I think the NBA could fix this uniform mess by adopting the same uniform rotation system as soccer.

Each team can have a core home look, then change the clash every two seasons.

I know this pitch would die instantly because “why have two jerseys when we can have four!” But the uniform system in the NBA is *too noisy* right now, and the year-to-year frequency of changes + teams propensity to wear a city jersey in national TV slots has run team identities into the ground.

I don’t see the soccer world complaining about its uniform rotation. It would be wise if the NBA, especially being a global league, got in lockstep with the footie world — it might learn a thing or two.

The Lakers look terrible, by far the worst look of my lifetime.

It’s gross, it’s like Minnesota lol

Minnesota's city ed also looks like a Milwaukee city ed from a couple years ago.

If you told me they just decided to circle jerk each other for perpetuity because it's easier than coming up with a new idea for this stupid series every single year, I'd probably believe it.

I think the NBA has adopted enough from the increasingly unsustainable world of global soccer (yearly jersey changes at least for one... in-season tournaments... jersey sponsors...). There is not one single way to run a sport and the NBA would do well to be its best version of itself.

If "running identities into the ground" is the issue, I don't see how the global soccer style solves anything -- you have two different away jerseys that are, with few exceptions, seemingly designed arbitrarily with random color choices even more mystifying than your average NBA City jersey.

The reason soccer gets away with it is that teams wear their primary look 2/3rds of the time. You go to Anfield and you see Liverpool wearing all red, not lavender or aqua. You go to the TD Garden now and you might see the Celtics wear the classic white jerseys that Bird and Russell wore, but maybe they'll wear green, maybe they'll wear black, maybe they'll wear something goofy with weird fonts. And they've been, arguably, the least ridiculous team in the Nike era.

You know, I seem to remember possibly the Lakers equipment manager or someone else with the team talking about this change for the Lakers and they said they heard fan complaints and were looking into it.

They haven't done anything about it since despite the constant complaints from us Lakers fans so it's clear to me they either like the banana yellow or Jeanie Buss is colorblind or something.

Alleged Bucks city edition leak.

Ugh, I hope that's fake. They barely even try when it comes to neon green, yet the keep trying to force blue on us.

how much i hate these thin lines on the edge of shoulders and neck trim. Even worst then no trim design at all.

wait what buck city ed are you talking about, i can think of the blue one honoring the lake, but i don't see the similarities, beside the blue color, and obviously the lake inspiration.
