2023 NFL Regular Season Through Super Bowl LVIII

For people picking games, know that 3 Eagles defensive starters (including two in secondary) are out with either concussions or on IR, and their lead RB is also out.

There are some stadiums around the world that use giant grow lights that they roll onto the field. That could be an option.  Tottenham's new stadium has them integrated to where they don't even have to be rolled, which could maybe be standard in stadiums moving forward.  I don’t know what would be involved in installing such a system in existing stadiums would be or if it's possible at all.

Lambeau Field has those, and if it works way up there, Lord knows it can work elsewhere around the country.

The problem that has to be solved with natural grass in domes is how it'll be stored/maintained when non-football events are taking place.  It's great in theory to have natural grass at SoFi but what do you do when the building is taken over by Swifties and the Bey Hive for weeks on end?

Maybe I’m crazy for thinking this, and maybe the lights need to be that distance to work correctly to grow/not kill grass but maybe they could install more lights in the roof that are those heat lights. That would solve the storage problem, and the setup problem as well. It would be as simple as flipping a switch.

and conventions, NCAA tournaments, etc.  If you can't wheel it outside - and I doubt any of the current stadiums could even be retrofitted to allow for that - it can't work.

Didn't realize what a good play caller Shane Steiken was until watching this dreck.  A good team would be leading the Eagles by two scores by now.  Stupid designs, no audibles, and Hurts being forced into bad decisions.  Thank gods the Vikings have Kirk Cousins and not an actual threat.*

Al Michaels just said they're at "Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia".

Did they bring it back?  Did they bring back the Vet?

I actively dislike every single NFC East team, but they at least are good football teams.

Every time I watch a game featuring a team from the NFC north, I like football a little bit less. God, I really hope the Lions can be competitive because the Vikings and Bears ever being on prime time is just insulting at this point.

Right now the Eagles are barely a "good" football team.  Losing the DC didn't matter (Jonathan Gannon is trash), but they desperately miss the OC, and the only reason their trash STC is still employed is because they didn't want to replace all three.  Their ST (other than kicker) is complete trash.

They may very well still lose this game (it doesn't help when 4 defensive starters, including an All Pro and Pro Bowler are out), but the only reason they're still leading is because the Vikings are perennial frauds.

Seriously - since the late '90s, have the Vikings really ever been legitimately good?  Even the years they made the NFCCG, I don't think anyone actually expected them to win.  They seem to be a team that wins 11 or 12 completely hollow games.  They can't be taken seriously while Kirk Cousins is their QB.

That’s just it! The Eagles look kinda terrible right now, and they’re still just dominating because the Vikings are totally worthless. Frustrating, and I couldn’t give 💩💩 about the Vikings.

That's as close was we're going to get. You should post "My work here is done", disappear for a little while, and come back as BringBackLincolnFinancialField. Then we'll start referring to you as "Linc."

11-12 win seasons don't grow on trees unlike New England or Indy back in the day.

Washington has not won 11 games since 1991. I think they'd be happy with a Commander team that 'wins 11 completely hollow games'

How about Cleveland who has had like 2 11 win seasons in the last 35 years?

And I highly doubt that anyone actually was expecting them to lose that 98 NFC-CG considering those Dirty Bird Falcons are were and forever will be the biggest fluke in NFL history

The Bears do that a decent amount, too. The year the Packers won the Super Bowl the Bears actually won the division and they faced off in the NFC title game. Outside of some mostly delusional Bears fans, nobody thought they were going to win that game.

Detroit is sitting out there with exactly one playoff win and three division titles since 1957, but it's always the Browns when people need a go to example of "it could be worse." By the way, the Lions have won 11 games all of three times since 1931.

GB was 10-6 and extraordinarily mediocre until January. They had 0 running game but go figure that was the one time Rodgers was clutch when it mattered.
