2023 NFL Regular Season Through Super Bowl LVIII

Recommended Posts

Hard to believe 10 weeks from today is the first Sunday of the regular season. The off season went by fast. Training camps are opening soon. I'm just hoping my team can get out of the basement and maybe get a wild card berth? In July hope springs eternal.

Of course they chose the Jets...because of course they did.

It really came down to four teams.  Jets, Saints, Commanders, and Bears.  None of them really were interested, but under the rules for being on Hard Knocks they were the only four who couldn't say no.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the "Hard Knocks" formula, a team doesn't have to be on the show if ANY of the three rules below applies to them:

  1. They have a first-year head coach in place.
  2. They have a playoff berth in the past two seasons.
  3. They have appeared on "Hard Knocks" in the past 10 years.

I would imagine many Packer fans are  going to be waiting to hear the delicate wallflower complain about the man forcing him to do this.
Ooops - too late.

Get your popcorn ready!

This came out not that long ago. Pages 13-18 tell of all teams future schedules. From 2024-2030. https://operations.nfl.com/media/nppjkdp1/2023-record-and-fact-book.pdf

I wonder how the 17th game would go after 2024. 2025-28 will be repeats of 2021-2024. Then in 2029 is when it changes up.

I don't know how much of that will stand, or if it's only what they have up for now.

If you believe the reports, then, well...the Snatit actually pulled it off.

Provided he doesn't become Julio Jones 2.0: the Retread Edition, this can only help Treylon Burks, as he (and all of the other young players) will have a true professional to learn from. Now, we'll see if this Tim Kelly guy actually bothers to use a modicum of imagination in running the offense, rather than running King Henry straight into the dirt like his predecessor did.

(Speaking of said predecessor, that guy somehow landed on his feet up in New York, so um uh, yeah...we'll see how he and that Rodgers guy get on this season.)

Is he truly a professional if he doesn't want to practice? What will that teach the young players?

I guess he doesn't care about winning

Bold prediction:

Pittsburgh wins the AFC North and Cincinnati misses the playoffs

Maybe if 3 asteroids take out Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Cleveland at the same time, otherwise the Steelers are going to be fighting for last place.

The Steelers will go 8-8-1, because they have to keep up their .500 or better streak. The Browns will start out 2-4 to put us out of our misery early. By week 4 Cleveland will be calling for Stefanski's head, and by week 12 fans will finally admit Deshaun isn't worth his contract. In the off-season fans will convince themselves Watson can easily be traded for a haul of draft picks, but no team wants him and we are stuck with a middling QB on a horrible contract.

I don't make the rules, I just know how these things work.
