sky1324
Fantastic name, not a fan of the rest of the brand. I'll echo what @SSmith48 said about Vegas gold, or some extra pop of color. Black and lavender isn't the most exciting scheme in my eyes. Quote the user formerly known as cdclt
Dynasty
I'm not wowed by it, but it's still an overall fine identity. Valkyries just feels like it belongs in this league so that's a plus. I don't like the Golden State moniker, but I get it.
MrAstrodome
I'm guessing gold, athletic or otherwise is too similar to the Sparks? 1 Quote All New: NFL RandomWebsite ★ Behance ★ Twitter ★ Geekier Twitter

If it's not a problem for the Warriors/Lakers rivalry, shouldn't be a problem here. Seems to be a larger underlying shift in the philosophies of branding WNBA sides at work here. I agree. The logo and name are great, but at that point I think you need continuity with the color palette as well. Black and lavender look cool together in a vacuum, but it may feel like an overly feminized alternative in this context. 1 Quote ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

FiddySicks
The name is perfect and I even like the logo, but I do not get those colors. The other two WNBA teams in California, the Sparks, and (former) Monarchs both used purple already. Why? 1 1 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)

Old School Fool
Gotta love the Indiana Fever being boneheaded and making a gray court at the worst time. If you wanna watch Caitlin Clark you have to look at this eyesore. Also there is seriously a Cheez-It ad on the free throw line. 1 2

WNBA might finally take off but they'll still stick with the undignified advertising schemes of a cash-poor, lower-tier South American soccer league. Also think, in general, that this would be a good time for the WNBA to dial in its teams' branding rather than indulge in the leftfield City schemes, but clearly I have an outdated idea of how to build a brand. (Maybe I need a new industry.) Like the Connecticut Sun were out there in black and purple last night and looked more like, well, a Phoenix Suns sister team. Probably got more eyes on their broadcast last night than any other in their history -- why not take advantage of that fact instead of confusing the marketplace? 8

I think it might be time for all of us to face the fact, much as none of us want to accept it, that brand equity/longevity just doesn't make much [dollars and sense] in today's space. It's mostly if not all about shock sensation and "right now"--and in true capitalist fashion, how much can an entity/institution squeeze (translation: how much $ they can extract) out of "right now". (Knowing this definitely raises the level of appreciation for the few holdouts that remain across the spectrum of sports...) 4 Quote *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

Something that's not typical of gray courts. NBA teams should take note of how it's done the right way.
