IronChefShark Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 nope. none whatsoever US state flag concepts
twi Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Maybe just the tiniest bit in the slope of the wordmark, but regarding the literally thousands of logos out there, it's not unlikely to see something that may be a little similiar, even in the same league.Edit: Nice sigs ICS, I'll wear the home team one.
patsox Posted February 15, 2005 Author Posted February 15, 2005 yeah there is. the script is relatively similar and try and tell me the sd and the dc aren't almost exactly alike. Then. the uniform templates are the same.
Mings Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 yeah there is. the script is relatively similar and try and tell me the sd and the dc aren't almost exactly alike. Then. the uniform templates are the same. you dont see the serifs on san diego do you? they arent alike.
WSU151 Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 yeah there is. the script is relatively similar and try and tell me the sd and the dc aren't almost exactly alike. Then. the uniform templates are the same. Easy. The SD and DC aren't alike at all. I would never confuse the two. Other than that, the two identities are...completely different.By the way, I don't mean to be rude, but don't say "almost exactly". Ever. It doesn't make any sense. Off hand, I noticed something weird when looking at the Padres' "SanDiego" script. Maybe it's just me, but it's like being in a circular room, with the S and the O closest to you on either side. Anyone else get that feeling? It's hard to explain. Sorry Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
NJTank Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 No they are not the same the fonts are different and the bridging of the script is different. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
Cashcleaner Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 There are far more difference between them than there are similarities. Although, you would have to admit over time, with more and more teams being formed and logos being designed it's only logical some will start to look like others out of comparison with the rest. Thanks go to Eddie010 for the Signature and Avatar. Nice work, mate!
See Red Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Eh, I see a similarity. especially if you look at the N's in each logo. But it's not a big deal
STL FANATIC Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 I see a pretty large chunk of similarity. But, I don't think it's anything to complain over (not saying you were). They are seperate enough. JUSTIN STRIEBEL | PORTFOLIO | RESUME | CONTACT
gosioux76 Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 If there's any similarities at all it's a similar school of thought. They're both examples of a modern baseball uniform design. but when you get down to specifics, they're not even remotely alike. Sorry man.
wheateater Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 If you consider how many baseball teams have overlapping letters for their cap logos and how many use a hadnwritten-type script, then you could prolly say half the teams in baseball look hugely similar. They don't, in reality. It's just that those are characteristics of baseball that are none too common in the other big sports. Chazberg Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 I can't see the link charles-noerenberg.com
Brian in Boston Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Aside from the fact that the "SD" and "DC" are both interlocking, I can't see any other similarities between the two teams' identity packages.Fonts? Different.Layout of the wordmark? Different.Colors? Different.Oh... wait. Both teams will wear uniforms. Seriously... not similar.
slapshot Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Wait! I've got it....neither one says "Montreal" Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
HurricaneDavid Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 They are somewhat similar, but not nearly as similar as the Nationals and Fuddruckers logos.
Gothamite Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Just to add my 2 cents, I don't see anything more than the slightest similarity between them. They're each unique identities. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
