White helmets with black facemasks from what I have heard. Glad they are dumping the silver.Are they going to unveil the 3rd jersey too?I'm not a huge fan of white helmets as a rule, so I'm a little bit leery about this. As far as the thirds, I have no clue. I would have thought Hamilton would have unveiled their thirds as well, but I don't see them.Anybody know if they are going to do their thirds today as well? Pixelboy Posted April 30, 2005 Author Share Posted April 30, 2005 It was announced a couple of months ago that Hamilton and Toronto would be two teams that wouldn't be coming out with alternates, at least not at these initial unveilings, but that most other teams would be. Scuttlebutt in Hamilton is that all-gold alternates will be well-received whenever they do come. The Ticats wore monochrome golds in the 50s. Hamilton may pull a "Dan Devine" and surprise the hometown fans with all-golds at their traditional Labour Day game vs. the Argos perhaps... I do recall having seen some blurry alledged new jersey photos a number of months back and there was definitely a yellow one for the Ticats. It was just too tough to make out what it really looked like.Hopefully they'll be out sooner rather than later. It may not make for better marketing but it will keep our curiousity satisfied Having said all that, I'm really apprehensive about what the Lions will look like. Traditionalists have wanted the black/gold armband stripes back for years and the new design gives it to them; unfortunately with modern short sleeved jerseys, they will disappear under the pads mostly. GMac Posted April 30, 2005 Share Posted April 30, 2005 man that design looks WAY better on paper than it does it real life... i think its because the striping isnt done to scale... the pants stripe looks better narrow like the design as opposed to on the playersplus im hoping they will look better on players in their gear... i never understand why t hey unveil uniforms without players atleast in their shoulder pads... to get the full effect... im thinking the sleeve striping would show with the pads on GDB...
