I vote for the Krunk, with all of the hockey ones with the word "Ice" in them coming in a tie for second. Why do so many owners assume that a hockey team has to have "Ice" in the name (or that they can simply slap "Ice" on any word and say, "Okay, Ice[FILL IN PLURAL WORD -- OR "PATROL"]. This name works.")?

a lot of these logos are just poorly drawn, or are trying too hard....

however, my entry is just wrong on a fundamental level... never has a logo represented a fanbase, a team, or a team name less accurately.

Not really it just needs some work a.k.a. define the bull more and lose the uterus lines.

i guess move the team to a different city in texas, that has a history of livestock, might help too...

what the hell do bulls have to do with dallas? or stars?

and why is there red?

and what exactly are "uterus lines"? :)

My guess it is supposed to be based on the Taurus Constellation, which can be seen from the southern skies in the northern hemisphere (i.e, Texas) during the early fall and through the winter (i.e, roughly during most of the hockey season).

The "uterus lines" are what make it a "stars" logo. It's a rendering of Taurus, the bull. Ya know, connect the stars to make constellations? Look at it. It's really not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It's a good logo, just maybe not so much for the Dallas Stars. It's rendered very well.

i understand that it's taurus the constellation...

but why? why not gemeni? bulls don't have anything to do with dallas.

in fact, the symbol of the city of dallas (including a giant one in the skyline), is the pegasus... that's why the old MLS dallas burn used a horse logo that was shaped like the mobil pegasus... and why the mavs have at different points used a pegasus in presentation.

there IS a pegasus constellation.

either way, the logo's going bye-bye soon enough.

and i just didn't understand why the constellation lines would be "uterus" lines. take those out, and it's still shaped like a uterus...

tom hicks said the reason it's shaped like a uterus, is because he didn't want to piss off A&M fans, by making the logo look too much like a longhorn....

My guess is it sucks.

Toledo Storm = that logo could use a good update.  The team's been around for what, 15 years?

Actually, they have an updated 15th anniversary logo. Hard to believe this was done by a 20-year old.

That's a good update. Hopefully they'll use it after this season ends.

There are a number of bad logos, especially primary logos, in major league baseball. For example:

White Sox: All it is is Sox diagonally. Nothing creative there.

Dodgers: It may be a classic, but all it is is Dodgers in script with a ball and some swooshes. Again, nothing creative at all.

Twins: The primary logo is just a baseball with Minnesota and Twins. The shaking-hands Twins secondary logo is much better.

Giants: Just a baseball with Giants across it. Blah.

There are a number of others that aren't very good, but these are probably the worst.

I don't know about these examples. I'd rather a logo be boring than to be outright bad.

Bulls go with stars because of the taurus constellation...I think it was already mentioned on here, maybe you missed it. I guess bulls go with just a western theme, which would fit Dallas, since they have the Cowboys and Mavericks. I'm not from Texas, nor have I ever been there, so maybe someone who has could clarifiy what a bull has to do with Dallas.
