Frank Robinson's not going to like this...

I don't think I'm going to like this... is red becoming the new black?

The only redeeming quality is that red is one of the Nationals colors. I would have preferred blue myself - then again, it wouldn't look right with red caps.

it looks better with the numbers on the opposite side of the DC

I agree. The biggest problem is the pipping. The red of the piping should be either white, or most likely, gold. It doesn't look good like this, it looks very cheap. I don't think it would be unprecedented for MLB to do that little tweak before the season starts (even after selling the merchandise).

I don't like the trend of baseball uniforms with the logo on the upper left chest and the number at a lower level on the opposite side (Indians alt, Rockies, Rangers alt, etc). I with more teams would follow the Whote Sox and Reds' lead and have them at the same level. I think it looks a lot more professional. On these, the number looks like an afterthought, not part of the uniform design itself.

I never understood the idea of not having the numbers vertically complimenting the logo on the front. Colorado does that too right? Bleh. They chose red because their home uniforms have red as the primary color.

I have yet to see these WHOTE Sox uniforms. What do they look like?

Is this the cap?

No. That's a fashion hat. The real hat looks like this:

Most of the fashion DC hats this year had all-white stitching. The new alt caps have the gold beveling.

Note that the cap Jose Guillen wore to the unveiling event in Springfield, Virginia, was, at the time, the only one that existed. At the new uni event at the team store at RFK stadium, Marlon Byrd had to wear a batting-practice cap. New Era put the cap into production starting Friday, or so I am told.

Anyway, since the alt cap has the gold beveling, it will be my Official Favorite Nationals Cap, just as soon as I can get my hands on one.

Just ordered one. I think it looks sweet, but not in that picture.

One thing about the Nats is that when they first unvieled the unis i felt that they were good but were still missing something. Now that theyve unveiled the new alts with the hats, i feel theyre closer but still not quite there yet
