VitaminD
I like Eddie Belfours mask with T.O. IMO one of the best i've ever seen. It's nice, but isn't it the same as his masks in Chicago and Dallas, only with different colors to match the team he was playing for? I don't know that it's all that it's cracked up to be, though I still like it. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
rmackman
"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be eaten. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports
MarkAtnip
Regarding that SPIDERMAN mask. Former U of Wisconsin goalie Jake Soper wore one like that during his cup of coffee with the Knoxville Speed of the UHL. I am not sure if he wore it at the U of Wisconson or not. Interestingly enough in his short pro career he was the backup goalie behind future Olympic Standout and Ukranian player of the year Konsintin Simchuk. I have a shot of Jake in his Spidey mask. I will try and find it and post it.God, Family, Sports... not nescesarrily in that order.Mark
Hat Boy
I know someone talked about Steve Shields' Gerry Cheevers tribute mask, but I don't think there were any pictures.
Bigboy1083
Personally, my fave was the one Jason Labarbera wore when he was on the Hartford Wolfpack & New York Rangers...Gonzo from the Muppets on the top (seeing his nickname is Gonzo )Cover art from Metallica's St. Anger on the side (he's a pretty big Metallica fan..last year, I believe he added charactures of James, Kirk, Lars, and the new guy on the sides)He did. If you look right below Gonzo you can soth of see them. Thanks KaTo
Bigboy1083
This is my new favorite goalie mask. If you don't know who this is, it's Al Montoya in his Ranger/Wolf-Pack mask. Thanks KaTo

He's got Wolfpack written in the St. Anger Metallica font too. I really like his masks as I'm a huge Metallica fan myself and he played some of his junior hockey for the Portland Winter Hawks, so i try to keep tabs on former Hawks.2004-05 MaskOriginal Metallica pic, just cuz
benpc21
LaBarbera's 2005-06 took forever him to use in a game. I know he had alot going on with his family and took a leave or two from the team, so that might have had something to do with it, and I finally saw pics of his new mask around the begining of December. I like this one alot too. Another Metallica themed mask. The top has the two St. Anger fits, redone in purple. The right side has the electric chair from the Ride the Lighting Album and Kings written out in the classic Metallica font. The left side has the "Scary Guy Logo" that James drew with blood. And the back plate is the Master of Puppets album cover.Sorry to go so crazy on this, but this a rare chance for me to combine my two favorite things, hockey and metallica. WSU151
I've always liked Nabokov's masks - the teal one that he wears regularly, and also the Sharks' 10th Anniversary edition. There was a Lightning goaltender's mask on the internet that was largely blue and chrome silver and had Thor on the top, lightning bolts on the sides...it was fantastic. I'll try to find the pic, and if anyone knows what I'm talking about and can post the picture in a quicker time frame, please do so. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
Phil
Looked dynamite in game.I actually painstakingly recreated it for NHL 2001, but could never get the transparency colours to work right. Looked sweet otherwise.

youcan'tseeme
Someone beat me to it, but I don't care - I'll say it again. Felix Potvin's was the best mask ever - so, so cool. His whole mask/pads look was one of the big things that attracted me to hockey in the early 90s.Then when he moved to the Bruins last year he got it painted yellow and it STILL looked awesome. hells ya! Stampman
Well I'm sticking with the Lion mask as my favorite, but if I had the money to bid on it--of the choices there, I'd go with-This one. Except for the total lack of glowing green eyes and a blue forehead shield (instead of a black triangle).A+ idea. C+ execution.
