Uh, I would actually put that icedog under worst logos.

I second that. Maybe that's why they changed their logo already.

I once had a car but I crashed it. I once had a guitar but I smashed it. I once, wait where am I going with this?

Terminator Dog, YES. Best logo, Not a chance!

Here's their new logo from two years ago.

I like this logo much better, but that's my opinion. :P

The new one is MUCH better than the old one. For the record... that logo Scout posted is missing the "Mississauga" wordmark....

I saw, I came, I left.

And I'll 3rd that, that logo is HORRENDOUS! The new logo is 100000000 times better, even though that one isn't really that good either.

It was Don Cherry team when that logo was taken

Interesting thing about the dog is, Don Cherry had the same terrier as a pet.

I can imagine Don at the meeting where they spec'd the logo out.

"OK, I want it like my dog; only metal.

And I want his eyes all red and blood thirsty.

This baby's gonna scare those Russian kids on the other teams back to Russialand or where ever the hell they're from".

Oh, and I've got a site.

I'm from Rochester, NY, and my understanding is that Don Cherry coached the Amerks or something. He's always had some kind of relationship with Rochester, but I've never been clear on what that is.

However, he's supposedly a household name in Canada. Is that right? What, exactly, does he do? And who is someone comparable in the US? Just curious..

Every hear of a little thing called "Hockey Night in Canada?" He's on it. I'm thinking a US equivalent would be one of the guys on a NFL weekly pregame show.

Fun fact: in 2000-2001, Mississauga went 3-56-7-2, with a goal differential of -223.

The only team that sucks that bad is the Detroit Lions!

I believe Cherry played for the Americans; I'm not sure if he ever coached them. He had a cup of coffee in the NHL as a player, but is better for for having coached the Bruins and Colorado Rockies.

That said, he's now more famous for his "Coach's Corner" segment during the first intermission of the early game on Hockey Night in Canada. And his rather loud suit jackets. That one is the photo is tame by comparison.

Rams80 is correct; his equivalent in the U.S. would be someone like maybe John Madden (although Cherry doesn't do colour commentary; I'm just talking magnitude of fame) or Terry Bradshaw (although Bradshaw never coached, to the best of my knowledge) or someone like that.

Also, the dog's name is Blue. Can't remember if it's a male or female, though.
