lilgump
I remember seeing them when they first came out, heres a pic for 2002 but I think it was a regular season game.and another one from 2002, I belive the first game in seahawks stadium.I cant find the pic I wanted of them in white/blue, but you can see these ones. From searching, it looks like they actually wore blue/white quite a bit the first year they had them. SO long ago. The one preseason game I can particularly remember is vs colts with marcus trufant being a rookie, and being burnt a couple times in white/blue. The World Basketball Championship, the Davis Cup, Ryder Cup, Iraq: Every day there's further proof that we, as a nation, are not very good at international competition. seahawk9
OH.....MY.......GOD Please tell me the Seahawks are not going to wear the blue pants with the blue jerseys !!!!!!!!!! Regardless of the out come of the game, we'll be sentenced to seeing Super Bowl highlights for years to come in the bland all blue combo like a couple of years ago against Dallas and Smiths rushing record against the Seahawks. Any chance of white pants ??? We've lost a whole lot more over the years in all blues than with the blue jersey/white pant combo.
seahawk9
See from the above photos how good the team looks. Those photos are from pre-season games. In 4 years the team has only wore that combo in 1 regular season game.
SteveR
Cowher said "if we're not at Heinz Field, it's a road game ..." (paraphrasing)Where was that thinking 10 years ago when they were the home team for SB XXX?

Saturn
The white pants dont match up with the rest of the jersey. The top is all 'YEAH!!!!' and the pants are just 'eh....'
dpnation
The monocraptastrophie is worse than the blue/white combo though.
Mac the Knife
White jerseys, black jerseys. Meh.Get rid of those ugly-ass numbers and go back to VARSITY.
hawk36
Problem with the blue/white combo is that the blue on the socks is the dark rather than the Seahawk blue. It would look much better if that blue of the sock matched the blue of the helmet and body of the shirt. Design Hovie Studios
GeorgesL
Well, when I heard about this on the news today, this came as a shock, because you'd think the Steelers would be intimidating in the black jerseys, just like they were in Super Bowls past. The Steelers could've wore white in Super Bowl XIII, but Dallas insisted wearing white while being designated as the home team. Well, let's look back at the teams that elected to wear white:Year Home team Result1979 Dallas Loss1983 Washington Won1993 Dallas Won convincinglyNow much to go on, but hey, what tickles their fancy. But I tell you if the Steelers do win, they should wear white at Heinz Field one regular season game. I'd love to see it.
sonks
Off topic, but why again can't the Seahawks just switch the pacific blue and the dark blue? You know make the sleeve color the primary color on the jersey? It would look so much sharper. The problem with their particular monochrome look is that it looks shiny like fish scales or cheap chrome.
buckeyes1
The Hawks' blue/blue is 100 times better than blue/white. It doesn't match at all.
FiddySicks
Ill put this in this thread as well to extend my excitementMy sports god is smiling on me now. This is to all you monocromatic racists out thereTHIS WILL BE WORN IN THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!! HAHA HATER BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!If they wear WHITE pants with the blue jersey, ill literally kick in the TV. How anyone can like the blue jerseys with the white pants makes no sense to me. That it the ugliest look in all of football from Pop Warner up to the bigs. This set is the best fu*kin look in the National FRICKIN Football league. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) JQK
The blue/blue is the third worst uniform, behind Cincinnati and Buffalo. It is simply disgusting and nauseating to look at.The blue/white combo is sooooo sharp looking, it looks right, it looks like a football uniform. Why they insist on this monochrome :censored:, i will never know. It's garbage, just like the city of Seattle. Stay Tuned Sports Podcast

dennisbergan
OH.....MY.......GOD Please tell me the Seahawks are not going to wear the blue pants with the blue jerseys !!!!!!!!!! Any chance of white pants ??? Uhh....no, there is NO chance of the Hawks wearing the white pants with the blue jerseys. All this "superstition" crap is beyond hilarious. Like it really matters if the Steelers wear white or black and its going to be the difference in the outcome of the game. The Cardinals have played like losers for the better part of 80 years. This just in......it has nothing to do with the color of their uniforms. The Cowboys supposedly hate wearing the blue uniforms because they are "unlucky". They lost in them against Washington this year. Carolina made them wear the blues again the very next week and Dallas beat them in Charlotte. One more thing. Wearing white in Detroit didn't work out too well the last time Cowher and the Steelers played there (the infamous "heads/tails" Thanksgiving game). Hmm........
