Little dots of color represent individual votes, large masses represent agglomerations of the predominant local vote (minority votes get 'sucked up' and disappear). Moser316
Voted Brewers/Packers/Bucks/Badgers as my obvious choices, and without an NHL team locally, I voted for the Minnesota Wild (we get their games on FSN North).

Cyclopsis Joe
That's highly inaccurate. I know for a fact that all of those "Colts fans" in SW Indiana were wearing blue and yellow in 1999. winters in buffalo
I like how they conveniently made the Sabres & Hurricanes the same color. It's a cover-up... that Carolina green is really Buffalo fans.
Fred T. Jane
Well, that just proves I'm the only Senators Fan within 200 miles of here! [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. BaltimoreFan
I have trouble believing that the Nationals had most of the fans south of the DC/Baltimore area. I know Orioles game are/were shown in VA to NC (i've been able to watch them every year I go on vacation to NC). I doubt many fans switched within two seasons. Also I believe Angelos made it harder for those people to watch the Nationals.

ZBoyer
You know, it's great to finally see some kind of mostly-accurate map that shows that Connecticut is primarily Boston sports fans. I'd say that 4 out of 5 sports fans support Boston over New York, yet the stupid ESPN.com maps that show votes by state never seem to swing that way and I can't understand why. Even look at the four or five Nutmeggers on this board - we're all Boston fans. I thought I was going crazy or in some kind of isolated unique area, but this finally proves otherwise. BBTV
That map is obviously wrong. It shows that there are Phillies fans in Philadelphia. harperdc
well, this doesn't work unless every fan votes. somehow the university of idaho is almost as represented as Washington St...and not as many denizens of Beaver Nation voted as UO fans; though this clearly means we're more web savvy, I also know for a fact that OSU fans are out there and vocal.
