First try on one of the form fitting Olympic jerseys. If you like the way it fits, wait until next year. If you perfer a regular hockey jersey, get one this year, or wait until they're all on sale next season.

I may do that, they also have the practice jersyes on sale, but I dont really care for the look of it.

I am deciding in between a black flyers jesey or their third one (Im leaning more towards the black one)

Also if it helps, I am on the fat size (XXL).

As far as I know, every team is getting a bit of a uniform makeover next season.

Except for the Sabres of course, the akwardness of their uniform is due to the fact that it was made for the new form-fitting uniforms

So the Swift erseys will somehow make the Sabres unis look less akward? Hopefully it doesnt mean "less akward then the rest of the league, because the rest of the league looks pretty damn akward too."

And i for one like the current Stars template better then the jersey they left Minnesota/arrived in Texas with. I'd love to go back to the 1991 kelly green/gold/black/white, but that will never happen.

as the resident stars fan here, i'm going to put the "best jersey in team history" debate to rest...

no question in my mind, it's this one:

if they only made the collar more consistent with the stripes... like maybe go 3 color V neck, with yellow/white/yellow.

i'd KILL for one of those jerseys. i have no idea why i love them so much. every jersey seems to have stripes in 3's. the early dallas jerseys had 3 stripes, the coyotes/leafs/blackhawks/oilers/rangers all have 3 stripes. it's rare that you see 2 stripes in that pattern. i just love that uniform.

but anway, i'd love to see a more north starsy uniform design. not a clone of the old ones, really... but if they could play up the green and gold, and use black a little less, they'd be perfect... and go with simple traditional hockey stripes. i don't want black to leave the color scheme by ANY stretch. i think it's much needed in the stars colors. but i'd like to see it used more as an accent than a secondary color.

Like its been said. Every team is getting an overhaul. I also heard that each team,in 2008-09,will be forced by Reebok to have a home and away alternates. Imagine if Majestic made the mlb chnage there unis, what would the Yankees do?

After the Buffalo Sabres and last year's olympics, I can say I am a bit worried. Plus, I like the idea of third jerseys. I think it's good to have a variety. That's just me, though.

When did you order? I just ordered one a couple weeks ago during that 40% off sale. Check the listings now, the item now says "1987 jersey" but the 1991 jersey is pictured. I got a 1987 jersey shipped to me.

Also that ebay jersey might be pre-lettered, Modano was one of the pre-made numbered vintage jerseys.

Last Year. That handsome guy posing in the photo is at the Iowa Stars open house before the 05-06 season. They brought the Cup, the Campbell, and the Smythe and roped them off. I asked the Cup custodian if I could jump the ropes for a photo, and he obliged.

It looks backwards in my pic as it's lying funny. See how the star is overlapping the A? The horizontal is supposed to be horizontal.

The proportions of the Star have never changed. When Minnesota switched, the star just became bigger, and the move just added the Dallas wordmark. Iowa has the same proportions as well.
