totc
Penn State broke out pink jerseys for last weekend's game against Wisconsin. The opposition, Wisconsin, replaced the red in its home jerseys with pink for the occasion.Penn State, remember, used to be black and pink before they adopted navy and white. Some coaches wore pink in the week leading up to the game, and there were plenty of pink ribbons and shoelaces in the women's basketball world. JayMack23
I know it's womens basketball, and most women love the color pink, but that is just terrible. This may be the worst uni ever. It's so broke-ass.
RollWolfpack
Along the same lines...NC State hosted Hoops for Hope last sunday against Virginia. Not only is it for a great cause, but NC State's own coach, Kay Yow, one of the winningest coaches in women's history with 701 wins as of tonight, is also a cancer patient herself. Many fans wore pink to the game, and the team was outfitted with special edition Nike's with Kay Yow embroidered and featured pink laces. And also, for a little bit of fun. State alumni Bill and Kaye Young Cowher were in attendance.

These and the kid-designed jerseys always get a free pass.

Aesthetics go out the window when it comes to breast cancer research.Think of it this way: If dollars raised out of those ugly uniforms and breast cancer awareness days would help save the life of your wife, your mom, your sister, your daughter or any other loved one, then those ugly uniforms would sure look great. KCScout76
Here's some more pix from the game - I am proud to support the Breast Cancer Awareness Program - we cover it in my Health Class I teach to 8th graders. Still, cool looking unis. If you go to the PENN STATE website, you'll see the crowd was involved too in wearing the Pink!! Great job Penn State!!! Guest
I don't think they really look bad. The Wisconsin jerseys look like fashion jerseys that flaky girls would wear, and the Penn State ones remind me of the Hart Foundation.

slapshot
Penn State did it right...Wisconsin's look hard to read. If they had more black trim and outlines they would have been better. Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016

Moser316
To be honest, I really don't mind the pink uniforms (judged on their aesthetics alone, throwing out the fact that they're to raise money for breast cancer research). Maybe it's because I follow Serie A to the point where it's not shocking for me to see Palermo wearing pink and black. I don't know. The two colors look decent together, and it takes a bit of panache to pull off pink.

Penn State looks pretty sharp, but Wisconsin's unis are nearly illegible. While breast cancer research is certainly an admirable cause, these look like the pink fashion Red Sox and Patriots jerseys that all the dumb sluts wear here in Boston. oh ,my god ,i strong recommend you to have a visit on the website ,or if i'm the president ,i would have an barceque with the anthor of the articel . lambertjr
I'm not a fan of basketball, but I like the concept and the unity it stands for.My ex-wife is a cancer survivor so I have personal experience with this issue and I salute the schools for these decisions to wear these unis. FiddySicks
Now does anyone wonder why teams dont just donate the extra money they blow on pink jerseys to the brest cancer foundation? Why not wear their regular unis and just have tribute nights or something? I dunno, it just seems to me like if they started painting big SUVs with SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT slogans and started driving them around town to make a point. Are their hearts in the right place? Oh definately. Are they going about it the right way? Probably not.Now did they auction these off after the game? And if so, did they accualy make any money off the auction that overran the cost of the jerseys?
