I'm sorry ...couldnt pass it up....(Apologies to Sir Mix-a-lot, Nicky Butt , KeeperEUSC and the fine readers of this forum)..... [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. martijn
New Tottingham Hotspur 125 year anniversary. I like it, although I also liked Blackburn's kits in the early 90s on which it seems to be based! Pandaguy87
I can't stand the dual color kits, a la Blackburn.those are just blackburn ripoffs... that's horrible.<3 roversThey may seem like Blackburn ripoffs, but the truth is, back when they were but a school team and no where near being professional, they wore jerseys like Blackburn 'cause they were so impressed when they watched the Rovers win a third consecutive English Cup. So they wore quartered white and blue jerseys for they next few years. Mind you it's the first time the team ever wore white and blue. In fact the whole wearing white shirts and blue shorts came from Preston North End who were the most successful team in the 1899-1900 season. I'm still waiting to see which jersey they'll be wearing regularly, and I still have to get this season's jersey before they all sell out.http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Tottenham_...ham_Hotspur.htm
harperdc
typical Spurs, living vicariously through another team's glory years...interesting top, it's kinda growing on me. not too much, though, because we are talking about dirty Sp*rs here.and is it just me, or is that Premiership name font size a dead ringer for how EA has done player names in FIFA for the past few years? My big gripe with EA Sports is that uniform font sizes (especially in FIFA and NBA Live) aren't quite correct, usually veering on the side of being too small, but strangely enough that new Prem font looks like it's solved the problem *for* EA... jr79
It almost looks as though they used the larger player sized numbers with the standard sized lettering.Of course the EPL may have opted for lettering that will fit WRIGHT-PHILLIPS on the back of a shirt. The SPL needs to look into this for Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink.
