Joely
More findings after further web-browsing:Manchester United away:Arsenal third:Hooped socks (on their second Arsenal kit this year) look great, but it's just Barcelona turned on its side. The white outline around "Fly Emirates" should be a surefire way to identify fakes. In fact is a copy of Newcastle United's away kit from 1995-96 with gold instead of white...i can't find any photo's anywhere...i distinctly remember warren barton wearing one...On the subject of ajax - nice incorporation of the city flag, though i still reckon the away should be red sides (where the white normally) and a black central stripe (instead of red) with the white crosses down it...beautiful... Vaguely similar, but I don't think anyone would confuse the two. Shorts and socks were also very different. By the way, the trim is actually cream, not white, although that's quite difficult to pick up on small pictures.
KeeperEUSC
Apparently someone at Marseille thought, "Hmm, you know, we really need fluorescent orange on our kits!"I really don't think the two colors work together on a pitch. The thing is, it'll work in street fashion, and they'll sell well.Roma home, while we're at it
HeyDingis
I am excessively happy that the Roma home shirt has normal sized Kappa logos on the sleeves instead of the massive logos that appear on the away shirt and most of the other Kappa shirts at the moments. Unfortunately that color is all over their trainingwear as well.

Fred T. Jane
Apparently someone at Marseille thought, "Hmm, you know, we really need fluorescent orange on our kits!"Adidas isn't being that original. [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. Fred T. Jane
^ Different collar...No kidding, jefe. In addition, the 3 stripes on the sleeves are coloured different also. I thought the fact that the colour scheme was similar, along with the body template would be obvious enough. harperdc
Do they not wear sponsorships in the Coppa? Looks great.I think it's more like Roma is in a state of flux regarding their sponsorship right now. I know they used two or three different sponsors last year (including I believe Pepsi for the Cup Finale against Inter) but I have no clue if they've announced sponsorship for this year or what that would be. I'd go lurk at Bigsoccer to check, but it's down, and I'm pretty sure Roma's site is all in Italian...and Chinese too, but no English. hrm. Looks like they sold Chivu to Inter though. jr79
I've been pondering this for a few days now so I'll ask. When are Arsenal going to ever wear that third kit? Its got too much red to wear away to Man Utd, Liverpool etc where they'd wear the white shirt and probably too much red to wear away to Sunderland where the white shirt might be a better option to avoid a clash with the red/white stripes. harperdc
I'd bet it could show up for European home matches too, ala how Inter was two years ago with their own hooped-ish jersey.
