officeglenn
Oh, and one more thing: someone else on here hit on the topic that he thought (like I did) that NFL teams, after rolling out a new design, had to wait at least 2 seasons before rolling out a 3rd/alt. But then it got brought up about the Falcons having 3 jerseys when they unveiled their new look.Maybe that ain't such a hard-line rule after all...but then, with all the fans in SD (and halfway across the country) CLAMORING for the powders to be the primary, maybe it was inevitable that the Chargers roll out the powder blue alternate along with the new sets.IIRC, that's only a rule for the NBA. TruColor
Just noticing that you can make a case for the Chargers and Padres to have somewhat similar colors now:Certainly not exact, but not too far off.

Kinda like the Penguins and Steelers have the same idea in mind when it comes to colors. Or something like that. randyc
I was looking around the wallpapers at the Madden 08 site and for the Chargers wallpaper they had this logo-is this new or have they had it for a while now?
LogoHound
I've never seen it and it's most definately not in their new identity package. That NFL Players logo is brand new though.
tBBP
IF you're referring to that "SD" mark, I have seen that before. And I have no idea whether something like that will show up in the new identity package. it might, somewhere on down the line...I couldn't tell you. *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff.Β || dribbble || BehanceΒ ||
Gothamite
I would tend to doubt that it will show up later, since the Chargers placed so much emphasis on having one unified lightning bolt.... el_dee_iii
I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find a gif or jpg image of the new Chargers Logo or script logo since there isn't one yet available on the sportslogo.net site. As a personal project for myself I have been making these schedules for each and every NFL team and don't have the current logos for the Chargers.Take a look:Any help would be appreciated. Chazberg
Well it shouldn't be too hard to create; all you have to do is take the current bolt logo and make it yellow with powder then navy trim... charles-noerenberg.com
BlueSky
Just returned from San Diego and while I was out there I saw a place where I could stop off to get up close and personal with the Chargers' new unis:Personally I don't like them. Adding the powder blue as an accent color looks exactly like what it is - a compromise and an attempt to please everybody. And the bolt now wraps around the shoulder instead of over it, which looks goofy. Anyway, here they are. These are authentics so this should be the on-the-field look:continued...The "backwards" bolt clashes with the helmet bolt. You guys who are designers, what the hey are they thinking? Fyrwulf
I don't know, I kinda like it. Any indication of how the Chargers fans are taking it?

I guess I just need the new script logo, but I can't find it anywhere. At least not the same size that I could find it on the sportslogo.net site.Anyone know where I could find it? LogoHound
I don't know, I kinda like it. Any indication of how the Chargers fans are taking it?As a fan, I think it looks great. So far everbody that I've talked to in SD likes it too. Haven't heard any complaints yet.I actually already did that with the old bolt logo. I guess I just need the new script logo, but I can't find it anywhere. At least not the same size that I could find it on the sportslogo.net site.Anyone know where I could find it?The new wordmark is in my sig. If that's not big enough, use the "Chargers" bar to link to their site and it's right there on the home page.

MJD802
In the post by skyaa it looks the manequin is wearing col. blue socks with the navy jersey set. I hope this isn't the case because that would look really out of place.I'm really starting to like these uniforms after seeing the closer view of them. Hopefully the col. blue accents will show up on TV since they weren't as noticeable during the fashion show.
Gothamite
The "backwards" bolt clashes with the helmet bolt. You guys who are designers, what the hey are they thinking?Wait, didn't they fix that?Ugh. That one little detail, the upside-down bots, ruins it for me.
