BB61
Is it me, or have the US women's soccer and US men's basketball teams' standing in the world kinda mirrored each other a bit? It seems like the world have caught up to them.

rams80
I don't know if it was the keeper switch, though. When the US women couldn't muster a goal, it just looks like Brazil was the better team to me. Sodboy13
Looks like they should have worn Bronze jerseys instead of gold ones...Heh, that's what I was thinking. I'm all for national pride, but the U.S. women have been begging to have a huge slice of humble pie served to them ever since they donned those gold tops. And it's good to see other international teams excelling; that'll raise the profile and credibility of women's soccer a lot more than the Americans just constantly steamrolling everybody. It seems like the world have caught up to them. Not really. The US women did not dominate their competition the way the men's basketball team did. Norway and Germany were right up there with the US, and still are. It's just that now Brazil is gaining ground and even though, Argentina is terrible right now, you might want to watch out for them a decade from now. I saw, I came, I left. Dude, the Brazilians just smoked our best women in the World Cup. You can't me that Brazil is not a top level team in Women's soccer now.The worst part for the US now: Instead of a 8 AM start time for playing in the finals, they have to play Norway at 4 in the morning. There isn't a soul alive that would fathom waking up at 4 in the morning on a Sunday.
udubs03
I think DEAD! was talking about Argentina...Anyway, I think the US Women are gonna get routed in the consolation match. They're in such disarray right now.

-kj
Damnit, I knew I shouldn't have gotten on the boards, I have this recorded at home. Ah, well, no real point in watching it now, I suppose. A shame to see it. The US women were not at their best during the group stage, but their second half against an up-and-coming England squad was a dominating performance. Looks like the Brazilian women are now for real. The final should be quite the showdown.By the way, unless they wore the gold tops in today's match, the US women only wore their white tops in the World Cup. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! I doubt (again, not having seen it) that the other keeper would have saved all four of the goals. TFoA
There isn't a soul alive that would fathom waking up at 4 in the morning on a Sunday.Exactly. That's because people are still up by 4 in the morning on a Sunday. That being said, mistake #1 was ing with the team chemistry and replacing the hot hot hot (in both ways) goalkeeper with Scurry. Then they did get housed with that bogus red card before the 1st half ended. Basically, the US killed themselves in this game, and Brazil took advantage of it like crazy.
