BrySmalls
I believe that the Marlins were already covered in a previous thread. Like here:http://boards.sportslogos.net/index.php?sh...&hl=Marlinsand here:http://boards.sportslogos.net/index.php?sh...&hl=MarlinsAlso, I find it odd that a Cubs fan is covering anything remotely that deals with the Marlins. Flashes of 2003 come to mind. But the Cubs are going to beat Miami in the WS in 7 years.Ah yes, the best of 9 series that was a 5 game sweep. Sorry, I didn't think it was worth reviving an old individual thread for something so incremental in the latest Marlins mailbag, especially since it was only confirming things we already knew. And Marlins-Cubs? So long ago. The Dodgers and Diamondbacks wounds are much fresher. Cubs fan or not, I read a lot about baseball, and if I see logo-related news, I post it. The_Admiral
I know a number of fans like the teal from the early years of the franchise, but that color has been downplayed since 2003. Perhaps there will be a touch of teal in the new uniforms down the road, but unless there is a change of thinking within the organization, I don't think teal will be a prominent color."OUR COLORS ARE ORANGE AND BLACK!"i'm suprised no one has really talked much about the Texas possible changes mentioned in the first post on the thread. I'm somewhat lost, it seems like they are using red alot more, but does that mean red will be the primary again or will blue still be? What kind of "tweaks" are they making?Seeing as they're the Texas Rangers, they will make the kind of tweaks that suck. Because the Rangers organization has never not had its head up its ass, you see. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
BrySmalls
Fair enough. CubsFanBudMan
No war. I think I was a smiley short (and 50 words too long) of actually coming across the way I intended, so I edited it. Sorry for the confusion.

Unless they drop teal altogether, how much more black and silver could they be? And the answer is none. None more black and silver. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. Bronxmet
If the Marlins wear Orange and Black, they might get complaints from the Giants and Orioles. If they wear black and silver, the White Sox and Raiders would complain.
CubsFanBudMan
But what if they wear black and silver with orange in the role that teal plays now -- trim only?Or is orange out completely?
Gothamite
I don't think we know that anything's out completely - not teal, and not orange. Just that the owner has indicated that black and silver are what sell, so black and silver will likely be the features of the new uniforms. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! rmackman
Thanks Chris for the site and keeping on top of things. Back on topic though, I've heard that Retro anything, except for shirts and hats, are done for the Brewers in the future. Something I am hoping for is that MILWAUKEE returns to the road uni's.I hope the Brewers one day use the jerseys you have in your avatar "Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be eaten. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports
Gothamite
Never really liked that wordmark. Even more generic than the block letters, which I wouldn't have previously thought possible. If they want a script wordmark, I'd rather they adopt one of the 1940s versions. Those had more style. Showtime029
I saw somewhere on page 3 some information on the Washington Nationals uniform changes. They are in fact adding a navy/midnight blue hat with a red brim. It will include a DC block logo with an american flag motif filling in the letters. Davey
I was wondering if ( or if any rumors out there ) that the Blue Jays where changing their home uniforms, or if not any updates to their uniforms ? With two different sets of uniforms, ( home and away ), I wounder if they will keep them the same going into next season.
Legend
I hope the Devil Rays add an alternate with the Devil Ray patch on the arm on the jersey. That would look good. And I'm a fan of red in the Pirates, and I love the red jerseys from this past season so I hope those stick around.

hjwii
I don't think we know that anything's out completely - not teal, and not orange. Just that the owner has indicated that black and silver are what sell, so black and silver will likely be the features of the new uniforms.Does this still hold true, that black sells? And, really, does black and silver scream Miami to you? What is so bad about the teal, especially since it's no longer the flavor of the month? The teal, to me, represents the color of the waters, the art deco of South Beach, the brightness of Florida.... Black is void of color and, whereas it has it's place, is not represented of a Florida baseball team, especially one that plays outdoors . Of course, the Heat and the Magic are have a predominately black scheme, and the Jaguars are black and *gasp* teal...and then there's the Lightning... so, maybe I'm wrong about black and Floridian teams coexisting in harmony. Then again, I find every pro Floridian team logo/uniform lacking, with the exception of the Bucs (and the early Marlins teal based unis).Just my two cents worth, to which I'm sure many will give me change on....
