Made it home for the final seven minutes of the game and knew from the moment I tuned in that the Lakers would inevitably win. Down the stretch, Denver was pretty much heaving the ball at the rim without taking much time off the clock, while at the same time, the Lakers were actually taking advantage of their posessions. Plus, the "Kobe factor". Ugh.

Bottom line, the Nuggets could very well be done if they go back to Denver down 0-2.

Nah, Lakers are going to have a tough time beating Denver in Denver, I think.

I thought the Nuggets looked pretty good -- you're right, bad possessions at the end, but the bottomline is that if they make their free throws throughout the game they win that game.

I agree, the nuggets will put up a fight. The Lakers seemed to have everything going right for them that game (not referee call per se, but as ineveryone stepped up and was on when they needed to be), and they still only won by 2.

The Orlando Magic pulled off a 16-point comeback IN CLEVELAND to win. That's arguably the most impressive win of the playoffs so far.

Both of these conference finals are gonna be entertaining as hell.

I wonder how long it will take before "Blame the Refs" Guy comes in and starts spewing bile. That was a fantastic game. Orlando deserves HUGE props!

Lebron looked hurt down the stretch. I hope he's okay. It would really suck for him to miss any time.

It could also be quite fatal to the Cavs.

Considering that the Cavs have received their fair share of help (no dissing their skills; they're a great team, but for most of the games that they've played, they've basically been allowed to do anything short of punching people), I don't wanna hear it.

Also, LeBron wasn't hurt. They were gassed; they haven't had to play a full, competitive 48 minutes since a couple of weeks before the regular season ended.

So who ended up winning the 3-point contest? Rashard Lewis? :P

Great game, the cavs looked like the magic at the end there

WOW! I still think Cleveland is gonna walk away with this series, but the Magic won't make it easy, they really impressed me tonight. Lets hope this goes 7.

Wow, that only took 5 posts! Thanks, willmorris. No team ever really loses, they just get screwed over by the refs. Got it!

The Cavs weren't playing 5-on-8, but they were playing 1-on-5. LeBron played well, but he completely took everyone out of their rhythm. I think he thought he was playing Detroit a few years back, and decided he was going to go score like 30 straight points down the stretch.

I willmorris was just being nice, because they're really playing 5 on 9 with the timekeeper screwing them over.... somehow :upside:

I saw, I came, I left.

5-8? Watch how Lebron's pivot foot changes anytime he plays and tell me the Magic got the upperhand with the officiating. It's one of the most obvious things that he never gets called on. Key example, the three pointer that Delonte West actually hit in the last minute, Lebron pivoted from one foot to other and then pivoted with his second foot then passed the ball to West. I'm not a basketball guy, but I learned in 2nd grade that was called traveling. From what I was watching, the Magic were getting home-towned in the first half.

I watched the game with a bunch of Cavs fans and their stunned silence at the end coupled with their arrogant confidence at halftime made the ending especially hilarious for me.

I'm also starting to think that the Orlando Magic are the real deal. They were down 3-2 to Boston and won a game 7 on the road just to get to the conference finals. Now, they win a road game against a team that seemed unbeatable and had only lost 2 out of 45 home games all season. I don't expect them to beat Cleveland, but if they do I'll be pleasantly surprised.

VitaminWater is ready to not have AS MUCH egg on their face should the Magic win.

If you've been watching, then you know that there have been two companies, VitaminWater and Nike, that have been running Kobe vs. LeBron commercials in anticipation of running them 387585884748874785 times during the NBA Finals. Well, now that the Lakers and Cavs actually have a shot of NOT making it to the Finals, VitaminWater is already ready to replace LeBron with Dwight.

Hilarious. I can imagine that it isn't just VitaminWater & Nike that have commercials hyping LeBron vs. Kobe.

As much as it has been happening since I started watching the NBA, I'm finally sick of all the non-calls on travelling. I'm indifferent to the Lakers Nuggets series but around the 2:00 mark in the 4th quarter, Kobe just picked up a loose ball, jumped, took two steps and then dribbled!! It has just gotten to a ridiculous point where the offensive players have such an advantage because they know they can take one or two extra steps without dribbling and not get called for it..NBA NEEDS NEW OFFICIALS

Never thought I'd say this in my life...but the Lakers got screwed.

With all the "Kobe" calls the Lake Show have had in their time, I think one or two missed calls in Denver's favor is OK. That was a bad call, but I think the ref just simply missed it. Unlike some of the blatant favoritism Kobe and Lebron get.
