I want Cleveland vs Denver, but if Orlando finds a way to shock the Cavs it wouldn't disappoint me too much. TFoA
Denver and Orlando wouldn't be the ratings monster that LA/Cleveland would be...but it'd be just as good, if not better. I'd be more than happy to watch Dwight vs. Chauncey & Melo.Never thought I'd say this in my life...but the Lakers got screwed. With all the "Kobe" calls the Lake Show have had in their time, I think one or two missed calls in Denver's favor is OK. That was a bad call, but I think the ref just simply missed it. Unlike some of the blatant favoritism Kobe and Lebron get.I've gotta be real with you; if there's one superstar in the NBA that DOESN'T benefit from the refs, it's Kobe. It's very rare that you see Kobe pull what I like to call a "LeBron Game." It's pretty much a known fact now that LeBron commits a foul pretty much every other time down the court. He hacks arms more than anybody I can remember, and it's because he knows that the refs will rarely, if ever, call him on it. Therefore, he has a LeBron Game, which is to commit more than a few obvious fouls, and end up with either 0 or 1 actually being called. LeBron's a great player, the best in the NBA IMO, but he literally gets away with murder in some games.Kobe hasn't had one of those games in a LONG time. If anything, it seems that the refs are more prone to call ticky-tack calls ON Kobe rather than for Kobe. But you do have a point; during their most recent dynasty, Kobe and Shaq were basically untouchable. FiddySicks
That final shot was unbelieveable, yet as soon as Lebronbroke free from the defender I knew he was gonna make that shot. How can anyone not be a fan of this guy? He's single handedly revived my interest in basketball. Starchild
Un-Be-Lievable.First Turkoglu with a clutch jumper... then the King drains the game winner with two defenders on him and second remaining. Let us not forget, despite the crushing loss, Orlando now has come back TWICE on the road against the top team in the league from large double-digit deficits. What's the tally? From down 16 in Game 1 they win, and nearly win in Game 2 from coming back from what? 23 pt deficit? Incredible.LA vs. Denver has been everything and more, and now Cleveland vs. Orlando is shaping up to be a classic (assuming the rest of the series goes like Game 1 and 2). Brilliant, brilliant stuff. "The true New Yorker secretly believes that anyone living anywhere else has got to be, in some sense, kidding." Drew22
Wow. I watched the 4th quarter. Un-freaking-believable. I thought my boy Hedo sealed it, but LeBron pulls off one of the greatest shots of all time. That shot will live on forever. gingerbreadmann
Either team could be 2-0 or 0-2.That being said the way Cleveland beat Orlando tonight was crushing.I should know being a Cleveland fan I've been on the other end way to many times.Actually, Orlando suffered a similar defeat at the hands of Glen Davis about 10 days ago, so I think they are more prepared than any fan or team to come back from this.I mean, Gortat should have probably been guarding the inbounds pass and Pietrus should have probably been on LeBron. Still, Turkoglu took away the lane and got at him when the shot when up, so the execution wasn't horrible on defense, and when you are LeBron James you just make incredible, ridicuous like that. In the big picture though, Orlando has exceeded my expectations. They have overcome the (even improved) coaching of SVG and really, really played well in the second halves. The slow starts are, in the long run, doing them in. However, they are draining shots, picking and rolling, and breaking down the Cavaliers' defense when they need to. I dunno, I think now that the Magic have played somewhat more consistently and soundly for the last two games than the did in the Celtics series, I really think they can/are exposing the Cavs. Who on them can guard Lewis and Turkoglu? LeBron can take one but the other is surely going to have an advantage, as well as anyone in the back court. I have no doubt that Orlando is the more talented team, but we will have to see how they contain LeBron and if they can keep this going where they really need to, at home. But I don't think that you can look at games 1 and 2 and say the Magic have not completed, if not exceeded, their goal for them.
