2010 NFL Draft

To the surprise of no one (and probably to the relief of some), the Redskins just traded Jason Campbell. To everyone's favorite team to pick on, the Raiders. If the writing wasn't on the wall for JaMarcus before this deal, it's definitely there now...in neon ink.

I doubt that. Al Davis has some sort of obsession with JaMarcus' arm, and has ignored his complete lack of accuracy, talent, or caring for three years. You think that's going to change overnight?

Considering they just traded for a very underrated NFL starter, yeah I do. Personally I think the Raiders just stole themselves a great quarterback that will team well with what they already have and help them to compete. Anyone who thinks Jason Campbell is bummed out about going to the Raiders hasn't watched this team play much lately. Jamarcus Russell single handedly cost the Raiders games week in and week out with his lack of effort, HORRIBLE ball skills and accuracy, and even worse decision making. A big part of the reason why the Raiders wide outs looked so awful last year was because of who they had throwing to them. When you have JaFartcus Russell, Bruce Gradkowski, and a UFL quarterback on your roster, you're gonna suck. This move is good for the Raiders because they got a solid quarterback and gained addition from subtraction by getting Russell off of the field. They have a decent offense now and a really good defense. This Raiders team could surprise some people this year, even with Alice at the helm.

I'd say trade Russell to a team for a 7th rounder, but they'd probably be better off trading him to McDonalds to run their fry bin.

No... He'd only get fired a week into it for fumbling burger patties into the fryer after holding out for two weeks for an extra 32 cents an hour. Micky D's should give a job of that caliber to someone worth a damn. As for the Raiders, just cut him and buy him a BART ticket.

As expected, the Jets cut Faneca

I wonder if they'll try to reup him at less money, cause this does seem kinda risky.

"As expected"? I guess I didn't see/hear about this coming. Faneca is a PBer year-in and year-out. No need to let him go, especially if when this is an uncapped year.

If the Jets don't re-sign him, I would think the Broncos will make a run at his services -- and the Jets' second-rounder (Vladimir something) will have to get the job done right away.

The Falcons picked up this guy as an undrafted free agent. Probably won't make the team since the birds now have a pretty solid LB corps, but I hope he makes it, the NFL needs more white guys with dreadlocks. :P

Looking at the Falcons draft this year, I'm content. They filled their needs (especially with the 1st round pick) & they picked up some good future-role players in Franks & Meier. Kinda weird that the Falcons didn't have to draft in order to fix what happened in previous drafts, they just needed to fill their needs & get some quality players with the rest. They did just that, so I like it.

They'll probably resign him anyway. Paying a guard 10 mil a season is a bit much, especially when his pass blocking is suspect.

A+ Draft for the Raiders for once Al Davis doesn't make an amusing pick, Jacoby Ford in the 4th Round is great and same with Bruce Campbell who kept falling and falling and on top of that they get Jason Campbell who probably won't be looking behind his shoulder this year.

He will be the opening day starter over Mr. I can throw a ball 75 yards off my knee.

Great draft by the Ravens. This one has alot more exciting players, than last years draft (which was still a great draft). Sergio Kindle looked like a beast in those highlights. I was pumped to see that he fell to us. He adds youth to an already amazing linebacker corps. Terrence Cody adds to a posistion of need, we really need better pass rushing this year. He looked a little slow, but as someone else pointed out the Ravens may get him into better shape.

I didn't know much about Ed Dickson when I saw we drafted him. But I looked at some video of him and he looks to be very good. He played alot more like a WR than a TE. It may take him some time to develop, but he has a skills to be a great TE. David Pitta looked alot like Todd Heap. Maybe he'll be his eventual replacement.

Again, great draft! Ozzie did well as always. At least one Baltimore team knows how to compete.

Definitely. I was shocked as to how the Raiders went from making a mockery of the draft to actually having the best draft of the year. They could be a surprise team if they prevent Al Davis from calling down & telling them to throw it deep at inopportune times. :P

I think I know why the Raiders did a good job, Al Davis must have been told the draft began on Sunday and was not there.

That'd be a little more clever if the NFL Draft actually started on a Sunday in recent history....

Well in Al's hay day it started on Sundays, and was on Sundays up until the 90s

My cousin didn't end up drafting, but he signed right after with the Bears. I'm so happy right now, I can't believe he'll be in mini camp with the Bears. I really hope he makes the team and is able to earn a spot somewhere on special teams because it would be amazing seeing him play in his hometown. And he will also be reuniting with Dan Lefeavour after playing together in youth football.

That's really cool. Good luck to him.
