I'm glad Armanti got drafted by a team where he actually has an opportunity to be used at some point, but I don't know if he was worth a second round pick next year to trade up for him. The Panthers could have gotten him today. It's exciting to see someone you've met and talk to on a semi-regular basis have their name called.

As for Mays: Boo freaking Hoo. Quit crying and be a man! Accept the fact that you were drafted by the 49ers and go on with your pro career.

?It?s bittersweet, but I wanted to play for a coach like coach (Mike) Singletary, for a team like the 49ers, a team that?s physical, that plays defense that will fight you and punch you in the face,? Mays said.

?I understand that I fell, but I?d rather fall and go to a team where I have a better chance of having a better quality career than go earlier and go to a team that doesn?t have as good of a chance to win. It?s tough, but at the same time, I can?t complain. I?m in a much better situation than most people are in. I can?t wait to get started.?

Where was he crying, exactly?

I think he made some other comments where he was upset that Carroll didn't draft him, and felt he was lied to, etc. I too wouldn't exactly crying, but it's not really being a man either.

If you've been the loyal soldier for a guy's program for four years, and then when said guy turns around in the NFL and takes a very raw 20 year old Sophomore at the same position instead of you I still think being unhappy is understandable. Mays probably does go in the first round if he bails after his junior season, so Carroll has literally just cost him millions of dollars.

This one is sort of puzzling..... The Jets, already deep at running back (Shonn Greene, LaDainian Tomlinson, Leon Washington) trade up in the 4th and take USC's Joe McKnight. Hmmm. Perhaps the Jets are still wary on Washington's injured leg.

They were so wary on his injured leg that they shipped him to Seattle for their 5th round pick.

Okay, I knew that was a shady pick, and that would explain now why they did it.

Good luck to Leon. Hell of a player.

Well...it happened.

To the surprise of no one (and probably to the relief of some), the Redskins just traded Jason Campbell. To everyone's favorite team to pick on, the Raiders. If the writing wasn't on the wall for JaMarcus before this deal, it's definitely there now...in neon ink.

And in continuing their off-season of "recalls", the Steelers just traded to bring once and future CB Bryant McFadden back into their fold. This after previously bringing back Antwaan Randle El and Larry Foote in previous deals.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Seahawks :censored:ing suck

You don't get that kind of input just anywhere. So how long did it take you to come up with that post? Were you convinced that once we read it the rest of us would have some sort of revelation? A come to Jesus moment if you will where we all think "you know this LightningRide75 guy just may be on to something here. Perhaps he is right, The Seahawks do in fact :censored:-ing suck." At which point one of us heads off to start the "Should The Seahawks be contracted because they :censored:-ing suck?" thread.

I'm asking because I've always been fascinated by the thought process that leads to the great posts around here.

I feel bad for Jason. I loved the guy here and he never got a chance to win. Now hes going to the Raiders, boy, the Redskins love to screw over this guy.

Dan Lefevour to the Bears. Well, there's your future quarterback, Chicago. I've got a feeling he's gonna be the best quarterback to come from this draft.

Same here. They don't need to rush him in Chicago. Let him sit behind Cutler for a few seasons and learn the position. The real trick will be making sure he doesn't pick up Cutler's attitude or bad habits.

Well, let's see... In the Seahawks backfield are Julius Jones, Justin Forsett, LenDale White and (when he returns) Leon Washington. Forsett might be good enough now to be the starter while Jones is relgated to 3rd Down duty while White will be the brusing powerhouse back that gets use in the red zone. Which leads to Washington... I'm not sure what kind of role he'll have when he comes back from that broken leg.

Oh, and I assume LightingRide is a Rams/49er/Cardinal fan, right? Why? Well, who else outside of those three fanbases (actually, it's two fanbases and a ghost town masquerading in Ram jerseys) would say that the Seahawks suck.

Good question. Especially since both you and San Fran have had better drafts than the Rams. I'm not sure about Arizona, but St. Louis has not upgraded enough to catch up with them this offseason.

For a for a fourth-round draft pick in 2012? Hmmm, ok.

Anyways, I never thought I'd see the day where Al Davis and Mike Shanahan agree to terms on ANYTHING.
