Just curious to see just how many teams (and if they do, how creative they are) have mascots representing them (feel free to post photos, too). Historical are even better by the way.

Some of my personal favorites:

Jackson de Ville (Jacksonville Jaguars)

San Diego Chicken (San Diego Padres)

Youppi (Montreal Expos)

Mr. Met (New York Mets)

The Gorilla (Phoenix Suns)

Sasquatch (Seattle SuperSonics)

Harvey the Hound (Calgary Flames)

The Padres mascot is the Swinging Friar. Youppi is now with the Canadiens. The Sonics mascot was named Squatch.

So I am confused, do you want a current list or an old one?

H-TOWN:

Houston Texans - Toro (he's pretty visible at all home games and sometimes enters from the stadium roof on a giant zip cord)

Houston Astros - Junction Jack (not very visible and doesn't have much of a presence at home games.. his concept just confirms that the Astros have played out the 1880's railroad theme and should go back to the Astronaut theme.)

Houston Rockets - Clutch (he looks goofy, but is very funny/entertaining, even for adults.. one of my favorite parts of going to a Rockets game, actually. USA Today rated Clutch the NBA mascot of the year in 2005 and the 5th most recognizable mascot in all sports that same year. He was inducted into the "mascot hall of fame" in 2006)

Past:

The past Anaheim mascots are past for a reason

Iceman - Mighty Ducks of Anaheim

I could not find a picture of the Iceman online. Probably because he debuted at the first ever Mighty Ducks home game, and was mysteriously missing by the end of the first. Basically he didn't even last a full period before being canned.

*sigh*... And then there are these monstrousities.

Clutch and Scoop - Anaheim Angels (These pictures are not me, btw. Found them on Google)

They originally had plaster or plush type wings and halos attached to them. They were bad.

Agreed.

Those look like Disneyland rejects, maybe leftovers from the Disneyland Country Bears Jamboree.

Exactly. One of the many reasons Disney sucked (2002 excepted). Not to mention the jerseys they are wearing aren't the jerseys the team wore on the field. Horrible, horrible era.

Also note, Clutch was either the older brother or father bear, and Scoop was the younger kid (take note of the backwards cap. <_<
