Wait, isn't "Don't Stop Believin'" cursed?

It was the White Sox theme during the 2005 World Series and they won, so I don't think so.

The Giants used it and Lights last year, mostly because the band is from San Francisco.

So, no matter what happens now, a 41 year old drought will end.

2011 - 1972 = 39, not 41.

Also, Carolina did the same thing in 2006. When they won the East, they had the entire team gather around the Prince of Wales Trophy, but no one touched it.

I probably won't watch Canucks-Bruins either, but I can tolerate the Bruins. Bill Simmons looks down on hockey fans as uncivilized swine that don't pretend they're black, so the Bruins escape his bad writing and I can safely wish them well.

Great series.

The Lightning made it here in season 1 of Yzerman?s plan. Next year we will be a favorite. We will have some new players, and have more fire power. Sure, it sucks to lose 1-0 in a game 7. But we made it here, and we?re gonna come out hot next year.

Lightning forever. Go Bolts.

Vancouver, got room on the Bandwagon?

So two things will happen: Each Boston area team will have won a championship within the last 7 years, or a third Canadian team will have won a Stanley Cup the year after the city hosted the olmypics.

I saw, I came, I left.

I wouldn't put money on that now that they're in the finals. If they win, he writes a book about it, and his personal, emotional connection to the team. Actually Jack Edwards ghostwrites it.

What a great season for the Lightning...I was hoping a playoff berth at best. Anything over and above that was just icing on the cake.

Mark my words, this isnt the last you'll hear of Yzerman's Bolts.

That being said, Stanleys headed north of the border.....finally.

Either way it's gonna be a s****y outcome. I was all ready to pull for the Bruins untill you pointed that out.

I do expect a column about how he really wanted to try and like hockey, but the Bruins were so bad on the ice and Wirtzianly disrespectful to their New England faithful (ignoring the fact that the Bruins were a perennially above-average team until the late '90s) that he had no choice but to turn his back, and more people will go along with this than probably correctly assume that some meathead in an Orr sweater bullied him once.

Still fully processing what just happened but hats off to players on both sides and to the refs. Every player understood the importance of this game and didn't do anything to handicap their team. The refs recognized this and stayed invisible the whole time. Just a fun, well-played game all around. It really is a shame someone had to lose but thank :censored:ing god it was the Lightning that did.

I think I speak for everyone outside Tampa and Detroit when I say that we can't bear to hear another word.

That being said, Stanley headed north of the bored.....finally.

I thought this happened in 2008 after the Lightning-Hurricanes-Ducks parade of non-parades.
