oddball Posted June 10, 2012 Share Posted June 10, 2012 If it takes 6 or 7, I don't care. I just don't want to be this close to seeing a Cup lifted in LA and not come away with it. I will say, that I did say that this Series is closer than most people think. For as frustrating as it's been to trying and get that fourth win, I have to say that it's a fun series to watch. And maybe I might just do it this year if the Devils win, and lucky me, they have to win it in the red jersey, which I prefer to the white. We should have closed this series out by now, but instead, we are witnessing the Devils team which eliminated the Panthers, Rags and Flyers. We are seeing the prime-Brodeur figure who terrified the Ducks in 2003, the tight-knit Devils who the Kings haven't met in the playoffs, the bounces going New Jersey-way and not for the Kings, and the shutdown of Dustin Brown and proliferation of Johnathan Quick. Darryl Sutter is choking the series away like with the Flames in 2004, the Kings are nervous and their physchie is all but shattered, while the Devils' mood and their fans' are all confidence, desire, disipline, and no worries.Game 6 is the Game 7. If the Kings don't win Monday, this series ends with a Jersey cup-lift on Wednesday. I'm shaking in fear of the worst-possible outcome right now.
