dfwabel
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the vote suppose to happen this month in Seattle? The Government Performance and Finance Committee of the Seattle City Council will discuss the project in September, not the full council. However it is not on the agenda to the committee meetings scheduled for tomorrow or Thursday.
McCall
The NBA seems determined to keep the Kings in Sacramento. Seattle, Vancouver, Missouri(Kansas City or St. Louis) all want NBA teams too.All those cities want teams? Seattle? Yes. Vancouver? Some rumblings, but I don't see it likely. KC? Got the arena, but still... St. Louis? Has not really shown any interest in acquiring an NBA team since the Grizzlies almost came here back around 2000.So out of your list, I'd say Sacramento and Seattle are the only cities seriously wanting a team (or to keep their team). TheOldRoman
Oh, now The Maloof's pissed. The Maloof says "know your damn roll and let me leave Sacramento". Perhaps The Maloof can contact dennisbergan to get next year's supply of "jersey's".I have a friend with the last name Long. He got married and all their Christmas cards and decorations around their house say "The Long's". His brother and I started calling him "The Long" because of it, but he missed the point and thinks it's a cool nickname.

dfwabel
Really? The city is not building the facility. Hansen is and he wants to own a franchise. The Maloofs are not selling
bosrs1
Really? The city is not building the facility. Hansen is and he wants to own a franchise. The Maloofs are not sellingAnd what makes you so sure the Maloofs aren't selling? Because they said so? Right now I wouldn't believe the Maloofs if they said rain was wet. They'll sell because in the end it's their only option besides staying in Sac, which is the last thing they want. The league will never approve the two things they want, a move to Anaheim or a move to Vegas.

It's the only thing they have left. The end of their rich and famous lifestyle is going to happen whether they sell or not. They're persona non grata in Sac these days, their sister is off the air, they've lost their casino, and they're one or two low attendance seasons away from losing the Kings anyway. The only thing that selling now gets them is enough money for them to hopefully live out the rest of their miserable little lives rather than holding on to the team until they have to file for bankruptcy. raysfan24
If the Kings move to Seattle, I would love for them to be called the SuperSonics, but it would be cool for them to be the Seattle Kings (Seattle is in King County). Has all the events in the past added up to where the Sacremento Kings move to King County or is it just a crazy coincidence. I think this was destined to happen. What's sad is I bet you that 80% of Sacremento doesn't even know that they have an NBA team and 95% of the US and Canada doesn't even know Sacremento has an NBA team.
